    Filtered water from the fridge?

This is simple physics here. When you boil water, ONLY the water molecules evaporate. Anything in the water stays. Some and only some will stick to the sides of the pot as the water level gows down. But you are still increasing the concentration of disolved solids in the fluid. The idea is to...

    Filtered water from the fridge?

Perhaps Im missing something but why would you boil your water down unless you are condensing the vapor back into liquid? Boiling down would just increase the concentration of impurities in the water and make the problem worse as the disolved solids in the water dont boil off. JRgreen. Not...

    need help sexing, asap!

I would say it aint dank if its bagseed. heh... Looks like you got some males there. If you are seeing little clusters of balls then you should remove those plants. If they start to look like banannas then it is likely too late to prevent pollination.

Is It Time For Aggressive Growth?

It depends on the strain of plant. Some tolerate high nute loads better than others. Start low and work up till the plants are happy. It is always best to err on the side of not too much. Plants will recover from deficiency better than from an overdose if at all. Yes, you can kill a plant in a...

What meter do you use for your hydro?

Truncheon. Reads EC, CF and both .5 and .7 ppm conversions. Simple to use and low maint. Make sure you read on up on how to use an EC/TDS meter properly as well. If you dont know what you are looking at and how TDS meters convert to ppm then you will do more harm than good.

    noob question

Mix your nutes together IN WATER. Do not mix nutes together in thier concentrate form. Reason nutes come in different parts is that they dont play well together unless they are in water. Think of it like making soup. You dont poor the seperate ingredients down your throut. You mix them together...

WATER PPM how do i know what it is? how do i test it?

Here is a bit more detailed info on EC/TDS While EC and TDS are often used synonymously, there are some important differences to note. EC, when applied to water, refers to the electrical charge of a given water sample. TDS refers to the total amount of substances in the water other than the...

Hello, new member here with a few questions on my new setup.

Welcome Scott 1) Rule of thumb is 1 plant per square foot but can vary based on your lighting and the type of grow. You also want to leave youself some working space so you can get in and tend all the plants. I once filled my grow space so much that I couldnt get to the plants in back. I didnt...

How can I grow some fairly good marijuana will very little?

The 3rd rule of growing (#2 is see #1 never tell anyone you grow) is LESS IS BETTER! Most of the time when your plants are stressed and suffering is because we are killing them with care. If your instinct is to do more then that is a good time to stop, think, and actually back off what it is you...

WATER PPM how do i know what it is? how do i test it?

On to how you put it in practice. Once you actually know what you are measuring and how to interpret that data then you can begin to use that knowledge to mix a nute solution best suited to the needs of your plants. The concentration will vary based on what brand of nutes you are using and the...

WATER PPM how do i know what it is? how do i test it?

Technically there is no such thing as a PPM meter. There are EC - Electrical Conductivity - and TDS - Total Disolved Solids - meters. Both work by measureing the conductivity of a solution. The TDS meter then converts the EC measurement to PPMs using one or more of up to 5 different conversion...

How can I grow some fairly good marijuana will very little?

Yep, just plant em in some dirt under CFLs, give em water and some feed from time to time. Grown right, a plant can yeild an once or more indoors. Just dont use Miracle Grow potting soil. Its a good way to kill your plants. Good luck! Oh and always remember the cardinal rule of growing. If...

    Foam in Reservior

YIKES!! I have had small bits of white foam show up in my rez after a change that went away after a day or so but nothing like that. WOW! Do you have an air stone in there to keep in oxygenated since your pump is not keeping it agitated? I would dump and remix just to be sure but that is just...

    Reuse nutes?

I wouldnt. YOu would just be introducing more variables into a problem situation when you should be eliminating variables. There are better ways to save money.

    ppm ?

Ya, read up on it. Its pretty confusing at first but gets clearer the more you learn. BTW, Im using the TF BC line of nutes as well. The recipe for success is what I go by and they give nute loads in EC and PPM, just go by the EC. Your plants may like different nute loads than what I use so be...
