How Should I Store My Extra Seeds ?

Fridge is best. I like the rice/film cannister idea. I think that really, as long as they go someplace cool, dark and dry they'll be fine. Idunno if I'd put mine in the family fridge and expect em to be there when I got back!

    Ocean Forest or Happy Frog

For the record, I have not used OF as I was warned away from it by someone who said it was "too hot." They meant this literally, as a pile of it with a piece of plywood at the bottom had composted hot enough to burn that plywood to a crisp. So that's the potential downside of all that good...

Week of Total Darkness or Chop Hermie Down?

I'd dry it first. I think the final part of the process, before that stuff is good for anything, is drying and curing it. That allows the (lemme see if I can get this straight) chlorophyll and starches to become sugars, or something like that... The point is, I think if you let it dry and...

    Is This True?

That's correct, in a general sorta way. After placing a plant in 12/12, you can expect vertical growth for about the first 3 weeks. If it's a heavily indica dominant plant (short and squatty, with thick, wide leaves) it probably wont do much in the way of vertical growth. If it's a sativa, or...

    How Often Do You Flood?

Yup, I'd go with one (rw) or the other (hydroton), but not both. I can't imagine a need for it. Btw, when I'm using rockwool I use 6" cubes and water them 4 times a day, at 6am and pm and 12 am and pm. Right now I have Royal Gold brand Basement Mix, a coco based soilless mix, in 2 gallon pots...

When To Start Nutrients For Coco Coir?

Yep, you'll need some nutes right away. Straight coco has no food in it that you didn't put there. Any full spectrum nutrient will do...Since they've JUST been planted, I'd dilute the nutrient by about 25%, feed, observe, and adjust accordingly, to avoid any possible nute burn. If it's not...

Humidity Without Bud Rot (fingers crossed)

Nope, I haven't used the spray, so idunno, but I have seen with my own eyes its use by others, and it seems to work. Just be sure it's sulfur in that spray, and not some other crap, and you should be straight. The guy I knew who used it lived right by the sea, too. Alright, 55-58% ain't bad...

Could I Please Get a Quick Response from the Vets of Potting

You can make your own smartpots out of that that "cloth" they sell at the hardware store, that's for laying on the ground and mulching your weeds. We made a sort of frame out of chicken wire. The cloth is cut to size, placed in the frame and connected to the chicken wire with zip ties...

Minimum temperature at night for plants to survive?

Yup, you can get away with very low temps sometimes, but it's not nice to. Be patient! Start em inside if you can; even better, start em outside in some kinda greenhouse, however modest, with a heater in it; if neither of those is practical, then just sit tight and follow the instructions above.

Humidity Without Bud Rot (fingers crossed)

If it's not too late (ie, you're over 2-3 weeks into flowering), burn sulfur in your tent. If the smell is an issue (burning sulfur smells awful), spray them with sulfur spray. It's available at most grow stores, and DEFINITELY on the internet if not your local store. Sulfur burning/spraying...

    Does Fox Farm Suck?

OK, man...like a previous poster said, sounds like you've got a salt lock situation, or a soil-too-hot situation. I've heard that the "hot" soil thing can be taken literally, too...some kinds can compost, and literally burn your roots. Idunno about your brand of dirt, never used it... I have...

    Soil mix, need advice

Sorry, metric man...depending on the strength and purity of your batshit, 1-2 US cups/1.5 cubic yards of dirt, which is the size bag that FF Happy Frog comes in. As for blood/bonemeal, try mixing those in at 15% of your total volume apiece. Meaning, 15% bloodmeal, 15% bonemeal, 70% other...

    Ground or pots??

Ocean Forest, I've heard, can be too hot, dangerously so. When I say "hot," I mean it literally. That stuff can compost to the point of combustion...compustion? I've always used FF brand Happy Frog, and I have zero complaints. So I'd say pots, unless you're someplace with already pretty...

    Scrog Nightmare? Pinch/Bend or Not?

Flowering plant 1-2 weeks to harvest with powdery mildew

Yup, they say you shouldn't spray during flowering mainly 'cause moisture in the nugs is a great way to get mold/pm. But if you have a good grip on your room's environment (fans, dehumidifier, outtake)and are able to dry them, it shouldn't be a problem. I've heard spraying them with a...

    Starting Seedlings Outdoors

Mine are doing great atm...they were started in a plastic tray with a dome. I think the tray was meant for those little "rapid rooters" or whatever, it has these little 1" or so holes in it that I filled with dirt (happy frog). The seeds were poked a half inch or so into the dirt, soaked with...

    PH question

6.2 is a delightful ph for your water to be, right out of the tap. Be stoked.Yes, you should test your runoff and adjust accordingly, but I think the nutrient systems I'm familiar with (GH and Cutting Edge) would require only very minor adjustment when mixed into water that starts at 6.2.My...

    Scrog Nightmare? Pinch/Bend or Not?

Thanks, gas. Repped. Tommy, do you mean a sorta gentle arc kind of bend, or more of a 90 degree sorta thing?

Holy shit, boomer, you should pull a couple of ounces outta there... OK, I confess that I have not read the other 132 pages in this thread, but I don't have all life to figure this out...I need y'alls help here! I have some Alien OG and Blue Dream on hydro tables. They're being top-fed atm...

    Scrog Nightmare? Pinch/Bend or Not?

Duh. From the Scroggers United thread: "You should not leave your plants growing in vegetative growth for too long because this causes more leaf matter to develop than bud which will make our SOG or ScrOG grow less effective. Also watch out that you do not crush or pinch the stems as this will...
