San Pedro is a whole different animal than spice... San Pedro contains mescaline which causes hallucinations, spice is similar to weed.

I doubt alcohol will eat the glue, but even if it does you can just glue the thing back together. The problem with using salt is that you can't smoke the residue after the alcohol evaporates.

I have a vacuum sealing jar. It has a little pump attachment that can be a pain in the butt and it loses suction after a couple weeks, but I keep an eye on it so everything works fine.
