Male / Female "You guess it" Pics. I don't think it's been enough time to tell, but I'm a newb.

IS IT SUGGESTED THAT I CUT OFF THE LOWER YELLOW LEAVES? If so, where do I cut from? Can I wiggle the leaf until it breaks off from its base?
