You will need that much light as it gets bigger...you dont need that much light for a tiny seedling. t5s and cfls dont get that hot anyways, you practically have to have them touching the plant to actually burn them. touch the bulbs with your hand...does it hurt? nope.

First time grower here. My girls are 4 weeks into flower, and there have been some recent issues with some of the leaves...at first thought and probably true i believe there are some nutrient issues...but one thing that came to mind is misting....being a noob all of the mold and mildew talk...

And shouldnt the area of the grow space be measured in cubic feet? if we are talking square feet of the grow room floor I am working with 12 feet. its about 4 feet wide, by 3feet deep...which 12 times 50watts would be 600watts, which if I add my wattage up using the hps, and the actual wattage...
