I have a couple fans from my PC case I am planning to use to help ventilate my grow box.... The fans have these little LEDs to light up the fan and make it look cool - If those LEDs are on 24/7 even during my 12/12 dark cycle, will it screw up my plants? Will they think it is still light out...

FYI, I found them on eBay for $18 shipped and Fry's has them for $24 + tax, what a steal if it works!!! FYI, my res is only 3 gallons, maybe 2 - 2.5 gallons of water when full to the right height for my net cups... So it's not like I have a lot of water to cool... :)

If I circulate some 50' water into my 70+ degress res, it certainly WILL work. It's just a question of how much water I can cool, how long it takes to get cooled, and how quickly I move it in and out of the res. I agree it will take some experimenting and I likely won't get guaranteed results...

Oh ok, well like I said, it will just be the initial week. I'm glad to hear you did 3 weeks w/out nutes - I know I'm safe. I do realize in Hydro there's essentially no way to get nutes into the plant w/out nutes in the water - there's no soil to help compensate for what the H2O lacks. THANKS!

MC, yes, of course we all know that. Now remember this - Hot air is EXPANDED aka HIGH PRESSURE air. Attic air will RUSH into a LOW PRESSURE aka COOL(er) air (growing) area. I agree with IS here - If you cut a hole in your ceiling, you're likely only to get Hot air coming down not Hot air going...

If they are recovering when the lights are off and wilting at the end of the light cycle, and if it didn't happen when you watered or didn't water, I'm thinking it could be heat stress (from your lights). Where did you measure the air temp from and was it at the end of your light cycle?
