I got these from a buddy growing some pot, he says theyre little plants but all I see is the first set of leaves. Every other time I grew I always had the cotyledons and then the 2nd set that look like weed leaves. So is this even cannabis? That stuff ontop of the leaves is just water.

Yup i did that last night, theyre about 4 days old and very tall, well one of them is. over 2 inches! the other one is only about an inch.

just a seed in the soil and about 50 watts worth of cfl's i have 2 of em, they ended up standing up and look great. I choose not to add nutes yet because this is old soil I used with my prior plant that died.
