I veg with 2 x 400w HPS. They are the only bulbs that fit in my air cooled reflectors. I have vegged with both MH and HPS, and I honestly don't notice much of a difference.

I ran out of airstones one night, so I left a 5 gallon bucket bubbling with no stone. It never seemed to affect the plant, so even when I got new stones, I left it "straight toobin".
