@samljer..thanks a lot fot the informative post..m planning a 10square feet cabinet..i only have 1 metal halide thats 250W so i am planning to supplement my plants with T5 tubes...the info u posted will be very helpful for me n m sure with other growers :)

i have a small space too and my metal halide is quite big for it n m sure it will fry the plants..m thinking of getting T5 in there but i seriously hope it does not affect the yield..m i got about 2ft x 2ft space and height is about 2ft also... i really have to get a lot of research done into...

it did cross my mind..would be an absoulute lab for growing man..

thanks mate...m sure i can handle a few burns and twists :) very much need to put this thing up ...i got a pc power supply (20 pin) and few fans wired up..maybe i will also try to venture into cool tube..all and any help is appreciated

its kinda hard to get Metal halides around my place and even if u get it its very expensive.. in an electrical store i found a ballast , its white and looks like a small transformer like the one inside a pc power supply.. is it possible i can buy this thing and get someone to wire it to an...

thanks mate..thank u very much..now i found a ballast for a 400w metal halide so i go get a bulb holder...this would really help a lot as one light will be in use at one time..its quite expensive in my country..
