You dont always need an ac one of my rooms does the other one just has a really good exhaust duct and one 1000 k bulb. Temp stays at 78 to 80 degress so no ac is not always needed during the summer. My outside temps havebeen in the mid 90's for weeks

I agree with spanish fly its noe about watts its about usable lumens. And just because a hid lamp has more initial lumens your not getting all of them because you have to mount the lights hugher due to the extreme heat they produce so they arent as efffecient as leds cfls of other floresents.

10 by 10 room, 2 1000k bulbs, suntube hoods, 8500 btu portable ac, 745 cfm duct blower. I grow 25 clones using 5 gal pots. My nutes are gh's full lineup and i usually grow them to 3 ft then bud them always get a pound to a pond and a half per bulb everytime.

1 lb to 1.5 lbs perlight i have the same setup get about the same amount every time

Im using black gold potting soil had lots of luck with it. I think my problem mite be temp related but not sure if theres any relation to the room temp and root issues

Just remember cfls produce way less than hps or mh way less and the buds get kinda airy and fluffy if you want the good stuff get a small 150 hps they produce small amounts of heat compared to their big brothers if you have correct air circulation small fan would do fine. There is such a thing as giving your plants too much light. The hand trick does work but my plants are always happier wen the bulbs are higher. Do the hand trick and then go 6 in or so above that and ull never have heat stress issues

I wouldnt switch it till you get the nutrient problem sorted out. The leaves look pretty burnt

yea i lost 9 so far it been hell, added some hyrdozyme and some subcultures and the rest are doing much better now

i grew 6 ft plants in 3 gal pots but it dont mean that they wouldnt be happier and have a higher yeild than the smaller pots. In my last grow i put a mj in a 9 gallon pot just to see if it made a difference i had 9 oz of it wen the ones in 3 gallons had a yeild of 4 oz or less. The overall vigor...

The second hole is the intake for the duct blower and the duct next to it is the vent coming out and into the attic

The rule of thumb is 1 foot for every gallon so a 3 gallon i would veg to 2 ft then start your 12/12 by the time the plants are done they should round 3 ft. If you grow too big your plant will be more likely to get stressed out.

I did my last grow in three gallons i veged for a month and a half and they grew to 5 ft so at a month they should be bout three ft
