1 BubbleGum Sherb Auto, 1 Godfather OG Photo

Well I did rub the leaves with symptoms to see if it was "rust mold". No residue so it must be calcium deficiency. It's been 24 hrs since the calcium top dressing, so I'm hoping it took some up the roots. I may have to do a light watering tonight just to dissolve the top dressing further down into the soil.

Week 10 | Day 68

Auto is slowly fattening. It's been 4 days, fed half gallon each with tiger bloom. Sprinkled a calcium surface amendment on the auto bc I saw a rusty spot or 2 on a fan leaf. I come back tonight and another leaf is showing a bunch. Pics below. I gotta figure if it's maybe also a PK deficiency. Maybe it's time to give a full bottle recommended dose of 3tsp instead of the cautious 1.5tsp/gal I was doing.

For accuracy, they look yellowish in the pic, but in person they're more the rusty/powdered orange cheese you shake on popcorn .

EDIT: Also, my previous feed on Saturday had pure epsom salts, bc I'd seen a little discoloring/interveinal dull green. So it shouldn't be magnesium deficiency. Also, check out that sugar leaf, coated in resin(polyurethane look) and people don't smoke em...for personal that blows my mind lol.
They are looking fantastic

So I'm starting to get mild interveinal purpling on the sugar/fan leaves around bud sites. Granted I've seen some grows where half or more of the fan leaves have done this, so being 2-3 weeks from harvest I'm not too concerned.

Made a vid sharing with a relative their potential Christmas gift, figured I'd throw it up here. Lol

The main in the back and main up front are starting to lean. With 2-3 weeks left Im probably gonna have to add support.

EDIT: Thought id include a close up of the other girl. I am pretty excited for the Bubblegum Sherb!

Week 11 | Day 72

Spent the weekend tending to them. Auto has more spotting on the longest old leaves, combined with the purpling tells me phosphorus. Anyways I have been watering/feeding 1 gal/ea every other day for 2-3 weeks. I just assumed continue as is till harvest. Well, I had a lot of run off from the auto. I'd say 8x more than normal. The photo(Bubblegum Sherb) had normal, mild run off.

Now I've read a little here and there that plants drink less sometimes at the end? Anyways if she was drinking less bc phosphorus deficiency, which is crucial for cell division, photosynthesis, creating sugars - energy lubricant basically so shit grows, i fed 2.5tsp of Tiger Bloom, 1tsp more than before. Hope she finishes alright. Trich's look 80-90 cloudy, rest clear.

Guess I'm getting excited - posting every day now lol. But MAN I said I was excited for the Bubblegum Sherb to see how she turns out. The mains already have has many trich's and my successful mutant Godfather OG auto. Removed about 17 more leaves for more light exposure for budsites at the surface of the canopy. Auto looks the same so no new pics

Finally got a proper fan moving air. And man did it help perc them up! I wasnt anticipating that.
PXL_20241127_220212080.jpg

If i didnt have 4 days away from home starting tomorrow I think I'd chop the Godfather OG. Almost all cloudy trich's with 0.5% amber lol. I say 0.5% bc I've honestly only seen maybe 8 amber trich's in these pics. Each one is a different budsite on the GF OG.

Granted I do believe I see some

EDIT: and I see some Trich's down curling, another harvest sign

I said I hoped they would swell more, and she has. For kicks I thought it'd be cool to show the same bud over time. The 2nd pic, 1st with white lighter was Nov 12th. The last pic is just 15min ago. 11/27, so it took 15 days to swell maybe...twice as wide since week 8, but she's closer to a complete cola than she was by almost 4x, very little stalk is no visible.
NOTE: I specify my weeks since seedling, popping out of the dirt, not since I first noticed flower.

After the 4 day vaca, i decided to chop all but 1 branch. 1) The Bubblegum Sherb is I'd say 1/3rd through flower, and really needs both 100watt lights to maximize its potential. 2) Godfather OG's trich's have looked almost all cloudy for 2 weeks and I'm tired of waiting for amber lol. I doubt the 1 branch left thrives, but I've heard of people doing just tops and then the canopy a week or two later, so wanted to experiment - can you chop more than half and still get development in whats left?

I went the bag drying route. Removed all fan leaves, and cut buds at their base, left sugar leaves. Got them(2) just rolled shut, laying on their sides to spread the buds out. I'm paranoid of a moisture pocket causing mold so thought that'd reduce the likelihood, and there's a fan pushing air off a wall for indirect breeze. Room is only 32% humidity, i thought about putting some water buckets in there. Heard of a guy doing that for an easy bump in humidity. My humidifier is still in use. I'm hoping for 1.2oz out of what i removed.

I'm jumping in super late here but this is a very nice thread. Love what you've done with the place. Beautiful plants all over the place...lol.

These autos have turned out very good. I struggle with autos to this day. Kinda a different animal than the hardy photos.

Thank you! The purple Godfather OG is my first and potentially last auto. The other girl is a Bubblegum Sherb photoperiod. My seed source had which was which mixed up. I see now that one photoperiod veg'd for 5 weeks can utilize the full tent.

I always try to write things so that anybody that googles will see some deep details as well as some simple basics from beginning to end. Always kills me when I'm following a thread and learning, and then the original poster quits posting LOL

Stopped in at lunch to burp the brown bags and double check humidity, still in 50's. Not bad for a room that's usually around 35% rh. Buds are not getting squashed like some have experienced in bagging bc i make sure no bud is fully on top of another. :blsmoke:.
EDIT: also the single branch's fan leaves were nice and erect, I only gave her 16oz of water. Hoping for 30%+ amber trich's in another week - special request.

So the lone branch Godfather OG is doing well, and the Bubblegum Sherb is loving having the whole tent.

Humidity in the bags stayed in the 50's until last night - 46%, then this morning before work 39-41%. So I split the 3rd bag between the other 2. Came back at lunch, humidity still 41% in the bag - and the gopuff are about twice as thick as paper grocery bags, which i was hoping would help extend the dry process at 55%+.

Anyways, I put them in jars, with the bigger nugs from the tops going in the largest jar with a 62% Boveda. Checked jars when i got home about 5hrs later, and no moisture on the inside wall of the jar. I don't have small hygrometers yet, but i got a wide mouth "air tight" plastic container that will fit my white hygrometer. It wont be the most accurate way to judge whats happening in the glass jars, but its the best I got. Little hygrometers and more Bovedas on the way. Didn't think I'd be jarring before the weekend.

EDIT: checked the plastic jar, which the seal should be even better in my glass jars. Its reading 64%. So im guessing 64%+ for the others.

Was watching this youtube on drying.

This educated expert fella goes by dewpoint. At Cannatrol he said they've found the ideal dew point is 54. Ironically my jars being around 66 degrees and around 64% humidity, put me at 53.8 dewpoint. This is rather nice info to know for any other souls that can't control every environmental factor.

Came home at lunch to burp the jars, and then check my Bubblegum Sherb....half the tops are laying off to the side. So I had to build a damn perimeter scrog, with a couple supports going through the plant, and course anchor some stems with green rubber coated wire to the scrog.

What I dont get is why the bitch isnt drinking. The pot still feels moderately heavy and plenty moist... smh makes me wanna just chop it and start over. All this fucking babying, lower nutes dosages, etc - she gets close to the finish line and starts acting up. If she doesnt make it I'm gonna take the bitch outside pour gasoline on her and set her a flame!

Well I started a "plant problems" thread. Some of the lower leaves were starting to yellow like Monday, but it was just a hint of yellowing, I figured being in mid flower that's to be expected. but then to this just now taken.
phuk.jpg

After some feedback and further research. I fed 3/4th gal of water with 2tsp of Tiger bloom and a tablespoon of Gma's Molasses. Here's the girl an hour afterwards.
afterphuk.jpg

Sooo 40% of the plant laying over, scrog support, pot feels half weight of fully watered to me in that moment. Come home, lift her and she feels light, and learning that potassium not only helps your nuggets - it also is the vital component to vigor in your plant's rigidity. She's mid flower, and while drying/curing Godfather OG I def haven't paid as much attention to her as I thought she was dialed in. Based on this later pic, I'm hoping to look in the morning and be smiling ear to ear lol.

She looks better this morning, but still got some yellowing of lower leaves. Thank goodness i got the weekend to monitor how fast the fading is occuring. Some is expected being mid flower.

Godfather OG yield was 75grams or 2.67oz. Not bad for a stunted mutant start lol. The tops of all cola's are nice and dense hardly any give. The majority of the rest isn't larf, but less dense than tops. Has that slight flex to it.

EDIT: She smells piney but earthy, smoke is pretty earthy tasting though maybe the pine flavor will come out later in the cure. Buzz is elevated, yet mellow comfy, and creeps on; didnt get my raise racing like some strains do so I'm happy.

You have done a fantastic job on this grow.
Thanks broseph! It certainly went smoother than my previous 2. Ill be doing the mystery purple strain after the Bubblegum Sherb finishes. Same strain i had to abandon my previous grow.
