I guess it's different in the uk where we have less africans (not being racist! HIV is predominant in Africa) and free walk-in clinics. If you had any decency, you would check yourself, check a partner you are serious about, and if you had anything you'd tell that partner, abstain or use the appropriate protection.
Then again, sex education here is a joke, too. We had some people from a HIV/Aids charity come talk to us last year and I swear it was the most information ever passed to us. I was shocked at how much of it was news to the majority of students. Even in that ONE sex ed lesson we had at the end of the year when I was 10/11, there was quite a number of kids that it was a little late to help...
