Yea the max I can get is 400 BUT I found one online that's HPS/MH convertable so I want to to start off with that (it's only 150 as well) and see if I need more or less light too temperature..if I get a bigger light that equals a bigger fan bigger filter etc..I would love to have that much scratch though.

How many plants in what size area? The mh/hps convertible ballasts are pretty cool. In a setup where you would veg and flower in the same area you could just switch the bulb out and be set.

The 3 plants you have now would be able to thrive under a 400, it may even be a little overkill. You could fit a little more than twice that amount of plants with the hood right over the middle and still get good coverage. If you're going to keep it on the small side I'd suggest a 600 just for a little overkill :D

Transplanted some clones into the 1 liter pots and added the tomato cages to all of the large vegging plants. I think I'll be adding the cages as soon as I transplant up to the 2 gallon buckets. Trying to get the smallest opening at the bottom of the cage over a medium sized plant is nerve racking and I may or may not have snapped a stem or 2, doh!

Still waiting on the Kryptonite and Romulan clones to root, they're a day and a half behind the Poison and Hog clones.

You clearly didn't read any of this thread. What you're saying to do is exactly what I'm doing at the moment :D

Stoner..

I took the tops for clones, plus a few of the bottom branches. 2 weeks into flowering I'll be going through and cleaning the bottom up again and getting a few more clones from each plant. Once I do have a decent clone base up I'll have a perpetual grow. All strains I have now, other than 3 mexican bagseed seedlings are 8 week strains. I have a 4x4 to grow in with a 1000w and I'll have 16 plants (1 plant per sq foot). It's going to be 4 in and 4 out every 2 weeks.
..............................................................Oh.LOL.

Right 3 plants atm however I want to eventually get 8 going..the reason I like this ballast/reflector is b/c it's not an outrageous price and it's all in one...I just hate the look of a ballast and then a reflector kinda hap hazardly put together...I want my setup to be as clean looking as possible...I guess it's a bit semi OCD on my part but I think that just makes me a better grower LOL

@420- getting a switchable, or rather spending the extra money on a switchable ballast, only really benefits you if you plan on vegging and flowering in the same spot. If you plan on running 2 different areas (flower/veg), then the switchable ballast really isn't necessary. I can see where if this is the first go around and you wanted to upgrade later the switchable ballast would rock. Veg and flower under the same light and then make the switchable 400 your permanent veg area light and upgrade to a 600/1000 for your flowering room the next go around.

I'm pretty OCD in my own ways. I'm German so when it comes to symmetry I start freaking out if things aren't at right angles.

LOL!

The Hog and the Poison clones I took a few days after the first round of clones are now rooting out. I'm STILL waiting on the Kryptonite and the Romulan clones I took in the first batch to root. I'm going to be keeping the Hog in my grow for a while, super easy cloning, light feeder (good thing economically, kinda of hard to remember to dilute the nutes). The Posion, although an easy cloner, has massive leaves and I don't think I'd be able to fit 1 per sq ft. Each strain as it goes in has 2 sq ft for 4 plants and I'd have to half that for the Poison. I'm thinking I'll keep a mother of it around and toss it outside in the early spring because I know it will become a tree.

sounds like a great plan re: the poison. As far as what I was goign to do I think you read my mind LOL...This is actually my first grow so what I was planning on doing was being able to get what I need (including the 400 watt) soon however, I've hit a snag and will probably veg for the time you said in the other post (3 months) yes I know monster plants but I have nothing I can do about it at the momemnt. BUT once the first harvest is done I want to move that MH/HPS fixture to my veg room so I'll have a T5 for vegging the regular stuff and I want to do 3-5 auto flowers under the MH/HPS and get either an LCD setup for the main flowering tent or a 600 like you said.

Ok, update. I did miss however getting a picture of the Green Crack clone I got from the dispensary. I wanted a more sativa dominant strain. They had Blue Dream and Green Crack to choose from and I think Blue Dream is sort of played out in the LA area at the moment. I've had some decent green crack and I've had some jaw dropping green crack before so I think it's all in the growing of it. Anyways, pictures! I've repotted a lot of the clones that were rooted and added tomato cages to the larger plants, flowering begins on Friday of this week.

Ah shit, forgot to say, finally got my Extreme Gardening package in the mail, Merry Christmas indeed~!

I'll get some pictures of the Green Crack Clone up tomorrow, I transplanted it at the same time as I transplanted the last Hog clone to root. I used the Mykos and Azos in the hole where I put the clones and around 3 inches below all of the soil. Those 2 are in their own corner and I want to see if they do any better. I'm keeping track of height every 2 days. The Posion is slightly taller than the 3rd ring on the cages (3 possibly 4 heads atm from the FIM).

I'm still waiting on mine. Also my attitude seeds are 3 weeks now no letter and no seeds. Dammit.

Those are some nice new ladies. Wish I could have some outdoor right now.

Finally allowed me to give ya some rep

Nice work with the fimm

As you can see the Romulan didn't adapt well to the topping, going to let it go natural next run. Maybe a FIM on one and natural on the other.

I just unplug the 1k and take pictures with the floro on, otherwise they would look like the picture I just posted.

I have all of that in the flower room at the moment until I switch it 12/12 on Friday.

vegged in 3/4gal pots for four weeks
flowered for 8 weeks
Floralicious Bloom= 30g dried
BloomBastic = 35g dried
hey torn what up bro. these aret the two plants that i was telling you about. both of them are in 3/4 gallon pots. the one on the right is the one that was flowered with the base A&B nutes and the Gen Hydro Floralicious Bloom, the one on the left is the one flowered with Atami's Bloombastic. you can obviously tell the difference in the two the Floralicious Bloom plant is a little more stretched, so its not as compact as the Bloombastic, also the buds were less denser, and a "little" less covered in trichs than the Bloombastic. in my opinion i will be using the Bloombastic. its price is a little high but its a booster, hardner, it increases resin production, it aids in the swelling of the flowers, plus some other stuf that they have listed. but for the simple fact the it stopped the stretch and grouped the nodes real close together, so i had mainly a bunch of colas on the Bloombastic plant, compared to a few colas mixed with alot of buds on the other. oh yea, with the Floralicious Bloom i used the full recomended amount, but with the Bloombastic i stayed with half of the recommended dose(.5ml for every 1L) throughout the entire flowering period. i never increase the dose as suggested(up to 1ml for every 1L), and i still had better results. but hey if you can, try it if you like what you see. now please dont get me wrong i dont want you to think i'm all like "yea,.... check it out bro. i know its pretty tight". naw i just wanted to show that you "CAN" get a decent yeild without alot of big 'ol pots everywhere

PEACE!!!
