I clearex for 2 nights it keeps them from locking out. When you feed them after that you can almost watch them grow like instantly. It's like a boost it makes it so they can always eat.

I'll be flushing twice during my grow, once before I set the plants to flower to get rid of the built up nitrogen used in vegging, and once at the very end. Only reason I see to do it in the middle of flowering is if you're noticing burns/lockouts associated with a salt build-up in the medium.

I have seen charts where it says to flush every few weeks, but I think that's propaganda to get you to buy more products.

Nothing really to report. Panchota's new leaf set has one side with 8 and one side with 9 leaves, pretty trippy.

The newest seedling (which makes #2) is growing sideways at the cotyledon. It's been growing side ways all day, a 90 degree angle right below the cotyledon, about 14 hours now. I thought it would try to look up at the light as its first set of leaves (seed leaves) are starting to come in. I put a toothpick into the soil to train the top to look upwards, it was the only thing I could think of.

I'm kinda hoping one of these seeds is going to be a male. I'll be planting it next to the freeway and coming back for some pollen. Making my own strain would be sick.

No, the fucking thing's retarded. I went out there this morning and it made an effort to turn back sideways at the very top. This thing is LSTing itself.

All I had to do was talk shit and finger fuck it straight. It's at a 45 degree angle toward the light now and I'll be training it straight up all day. I have the seedlings in between the pots (sorta shady there) and under the 1000w with the other vegging plants. I'm thinking it found enough light looking at the pot it was next to when it popped out. I now have it out of the shade, 5 feet from the light in the hopes that it doesn't have downs-syndrome and will look upwards (half way there now). The other seedling that popped the day before is having 0 issues.

Found some wood around the house and made an elevated floor up off the concrete so that when I do eventually have them on the ground, the cold concrete wont effect root growth.

Busy bee today, just revamped the veg area as well and added a space heater to it. It's not a confined space and it separated from the garage by just a tarp wall. It gets a lot colder in the veg area at night than it does in the flowering room. I have a really old 250w hps that I'm thinking about adding in the veg area above where I want my mothers (none yet sadly) to be.

Not having a job atm makes me pretty obsessive about my grow.

More OCD happenings. I dug up the rest of the seeds and 2 more had cracked, so at least 2 more babies coming up within the next 24 hours. The other 5 I delicately chipped/sliced down the sides where they split in hopes some water and stuff will get in there so the seeds can swell and crack open.

In all honesty I only though 4 of the seeds were actually viable anyways. The rest were grey/white and pretty small but I thought I'd give them same chances at life that I gave the rest.

Looks like the 2 that cracked were duds. I'll give them another day or 2 then eff it. Looks so far like 2/10 cracked. I'm not disappointed as the seeds came free in some shwag that someone gave me. I'm hoping for a male out of one of them. Mexican brick weed usually is a high sativa strain and I'd like to cross some elite genetics into it. It would be cool as shit to start my own strain and refine it for the rest of my life.

Ok, I lied! Got bored and removed some of the dirt off the 2 I thought were going to make it and one did! I saw a little tap root shooting out on one so I covered it back up. Hopefully it presses through the surface in the next 24 hours. I'm going to give the rest of them a chance for another few days then pull the plug.

Still waiting on those damn clones to root >.<
