1000watt heat issues...help?

I need ideas. I will use the one best suited for me.

I have a 1000watt HPS light set-up with a cool-tube. Currently I have a bathroom fan hooked up to dryer vents running through my cool tube and to outside. I have a direct air intake from outside. My grow area is in my shed outside in my back yard.

I have a 24" fan blowing across my babies.

Temps get up to 35C or roughly 105F. The growth is slow and the heat stresses most of my plants to the point that they turn male. I DESPERATELY need to get this temp under 30C.

This is my problem however. I have my light, 2 fans, and my bathroom fan all running off of the one powerbar. There is no option to install more power. All of this stuff is running off of a 15amp breaker. So i know there isnt alot of room to spare for more power. Because of this I am not sure if a small A/C unit is an option.

Can anyone give me any good ideas to get my temps under control?

My grow area is roughly 6ft wide, 6ft tall, and 40" deep.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

I don't think that the bath fan is going to cut it. They start at 50cfm and go up to 250cfm for a really expensive one. Do you know how many it is pulling? You need to get at least 500 or 600 cfm pumping through that thing if not more.:joint: I think you are borderline very dangerous with that little airflow on that big of a light. Don't die.

the fan only pushes 80cfm. Ive been looking for these "Stanley" blower fans someone on here told me about. apparently they start at 1000cfm and can be increased. Just cant find them at the canadian walmart.

a stanley is $50 and prolly beats the balls right off the vortex:leaf::peace:
ive secided to order one at least off of ebay next payday. my plants will be just shy of 4 weeks and i will be switching to flower shortly after that. so the stanley should get here in time to start flowering i hope.

being out side is going to be hard to fight the heat...i use a 340cfm fan sucking air from in side of my tent cooling my hood, then out with ducting that goes to a "Y" hooked up to a stanley that sucks the hot air from up high in the room and out with ducting....

im using a 440cfm blower that i paid like $150 bucks at the local hydro store, and they told me it should be good enough to cool 2 1000watt hps, yet i have a hard time keeping the one 1000 watter cool. had to add a 5,000btu AC in a 8x4 with a vaulted cieling that is either 5.5 ft tall or 7 ft tall. and i still can hardly get the temps below 78 on the cooler days.

i had the same exact problem as you did for the first 4 weeks, but i was using a 400watt, then i got the blower and everything was good, but then i got a 1000 watt and had to buy a AC unit as soon as we hooked it up. and because of the heat stress in the first 4 weeks, im now in week 13 with Strong indicas, and they are still not done yet.

LISTEN TO ALL 1000W users with heat problems!!!! i have been threw all the possible answers, first i had a window A/C unit ducted into my room....didnt work...then i went and got a portable A/C to place IN my room....just worked the shit outa the A/C and temps were fluxuating to much from 73-95!.... then i heard that having enough ventilation would cool my room, so i went to the hydro shop looking for fans...guy suggested i get a fan that was like $300 (vortex) so i figured i wasnt gonna spend more money on a fan than i did my light thats just retarded....soon as i got my $50 stanleys set up temps sit at 77-82 ALL day...so to all with the same problem take it from a guy who has already waisted the time and money for you...BUY A STANLEY BLOWER, sure a vortex is alot easier to hook up ducting hose too.....but i wont pay an extra $250 for for something SLIGHTLY easier to hook up

Can fan, vortex, what ever you can get, Pull air not push across the lamp. Pull air from low outside the room. Across the lamp and outside.
