If you don't have any cal mag get some ASAP start out with a quarter strength LEDs make plants suffer there but with added cal mag u will see no issues just a little pointer from previous trial an era good luck

LMAO cal-mag has nothing to do with what lights you use, adding cal-mag is to make up for a deficiency in either your soil or nutes or both

The spectrum of your light can influence how your plants intakes/processes nutrients. He was correct with his advise of cal/mag use in an LED garden. If you've been reading this subforum for any length of time, you would have noticed that this is a common recommendation.

Well then explain it to me.....why would you give cal-mag to a plant unless it was either deficient or missing from the nutes you are using?

Missing from soft tap water, R.O. water...probably rain water.
so as i said before you would only add it if its not already in your nutes or soil then, because if it was present in either your nutrients or medium then you would not have to add any to compensate for it being missing from the water.

Also, not everywhere has soft water?

Not totally true, even with calcium in your base A&B nutrients if you grow with certain LED you will need a calcium supplement, I done an experiment one time on one and it totally retarded the plant beyond hope. Not everywhere has soft water, some has Hard PPM's of up to 1000 PPM! Im lucky @ 15PPM, thats why I need Calcium because its missing.

I did read that even with Hard water the Calcium molecule is too large to be fully used by the plant, dont know if its true or not though.

So basically you laughed at me n now you are agreeing with me lol

I said you only need to add cal-mag if your plant is deficient in it somehow or its missing from the nutrients or medium, you said no and and are now agreeing that you would SUPPLEMENT cal-mag due to a deficiency since it missing from your water lmao

Also you say with certain LEDS you need to supplement more cal-mag, this leads me to believe certain LED`s will cause the plant to uptake cal-mag more rapidly thus leading to a deficiency earlier( the deficiency that would not occur if your nutrients or medium had sufficient levels of cal-mag)

Also you are making a lot of assumptions with your posts....not everyone uses an A&B nutrient regime, not everyone has soft water etc etc

Also i live in an extremely hard water area and have never had problems with cal-mag deficiency due to the water
