That's great news. Man I really wish I hadn't bought my 600w when I have a 2 by 3 closet... Was really uninformed. I thought 150 was near useless though but apparently not

I know what you mean, its hard to believe you can actually get some useful bud from a 150! My platinum OG is a little on the weak side, pulled it too soon. Its really important to let them finish, otherwise you may as well not have grown it at all! Im going to let these fuckers go till they are smash you in the face potent.

What are the temps like with a 150watt HPS? id like to run a small HPS in my cab along with all the CFL's i just worry about the temps getting to high!

NICE, im thinking about going with a 150w HPS as well with my CFL's just cuz i have a small space! Ur plants look great and that middle one is Mind Blowing!!!

cfls just seem a fucking joke by the time youve wasted all that energy and even money trying to get a way of manuevering them around you might as well hav got a low wat hps

CFL's do suck to a certain degree! One thing i like is i have grown a few plants without a single raise in my Electric Bill, which really isnt important to me but to some ppl it might be. I hate having to have a few different kinds of lights to get the Full spectrum, its hard to place 3-4 different kind of bulbs 2in away from 1 plant. Thats just alot of work for not alot of results. Tired of CFL's but i got like 40 of them bitches now that are all to big for a light socket! lol

A watt is still a watt though if I'm not mistaken? 200 watts of cfl will cost the same as 200 actual watts of hps. Granted you lose some in the ballast but still. For someone like me who pays 27 pence (40 cents I guess) per kwh I'm sure it's just as extortionate with cfls lol

Well my Blackstar 240 showed up today and was much as I wanted to let these finish under the 150 I couldnt NOT throw my new light into the cab!
Hopefully they dont get weird on me with the new light and self destruct. Still waiting for the cab to get cozy so I can see the temperature difference.

u think u will still get the same results or better? i hear alot of good and bad on LED's i like the thought of them better but the more i research everyone says to wait for another few years for the specturms to be better and the lights to be cheaper! I know LED is a cool light!

I think led's are pretty good for replacing fluorescents or in small grows. I think comparing hps to led is still a bit like comparing a train to a car. But if you compare them to fluoros it makes a bit more sense. Both are low energy alternatives to HID. I have a closet 2x3x6 and have been wondering what to do since I realised my 600 is never gonna work in it. If I plan on growing in there for a couple years I'd get a LED. It would pay for itself in about 12 months and I wouldn't need to replace cfl bulbs. Plus electricity prices here are extortionate. If you pay barely anything to run a HID like some Americans do then led's are almost worthless.
To Chaka: when you say not as bright I imagine it's because it's just different to the hps, you know hps chucks away a lot of its light. I'm sure the results will show its working
