if u think about useing 1 or 2 cfl's just give up now it takes time and nice light
I have 4cfls all in the 2700k spectrum over 5000lumens all together nd the plants seem to like it so far

I'm not here to give you bullshit about growing weed at 17, that's basically an adult, and I don't doubt that 90% of the people on here smoked heavily when they were that age.
But you might wanna hold off on this. Wait until you move out. Growing cannabis is time consuming and even 12/12 from seed will take a few months if you don't want to grow reggie. You won't get anything worth the risk of getting into trouble.

So isnt this where you come to learn? I sure did. Fuck all these haters, you seem like your gonna do it anyways so read up, but dont lie to us. This place has a lot of good reading that can help you:
1.build a better room
2. supply better lighting sources for cfls or upgrading to led, cmh
3. get you on track about knowing whats in your soil, how to feed you babies.
You might look into stealth cabs on here, and if you need help send me a PM.
Dont let these assholes burn your hopes and dreams.
I grew my first plant in high school, Im not old by far, hell barely old enough to graduate college, but I still grow great buds. Better IMO than some of the "own my own house but still use a tent growers." My advice is get serious about it before you do it. Make a plan for everything before your seed touches soil. Accept the penalties before the rewards, AND TELL NO ONE.

2. i would suggest trying to source a kooltube magnetic ballast from craigslist,amazon whatever hps 600 watts are the most efficent hid's imho. eye hortilux bulbs both hps and mh blue spectrums,,,, sunshine mix #4, add ogbiowar! http://ogbiowar.com/
