Lookin' damn fine! Lower left and upper right are my favorites. I always pick favorites lol. What do you suppose the eagle claw is from? She have some buildup?

It isn't build up for sure.

My last couple of posts contain my thoughts on the matter. I'd been running a little more Nitrogen to PK than I think I should have been considering the pH down solution I use being Nitric Acid based.

It is the only plant with an issue, and it also is very unlike the other plants, a unique phenotype in this grow, and it is demonstrating in what way it is unique.

I have compensated for this in the future by dropping the N level a little earlier with my given pH down solution.

I will have a plant like this every once in a while that also is usually a lone ranger. Usually drinks like a fish, sometimes more than 2x the other plants and the claw seems to linger all the way through.

They're looking good.

It is definitely the tallest plant in the room and it has the thickest stem. It seems that the lower branches that get the least light have it the worst. I almost think it is a temperature thing in combination with the nitrogen thing.

The parts of the plant that get reduced exposure, or the top of the plant that is in the flow of the oscillating fan, would be the coldest areas of the plant. It would seem like the extra light helps keep the parts of the plant warm and those parts aren't curling. My outside temperatures here have been between 30 and 50 degrees (hovering around 40 degrees) for the last two weeks and the night temperatures in the tent have dipped to 60 degrees on most nights. I've been working on keeping the temps up and during the day cycle the temperature sits at around 75 to 76 most of the day but this one plant just isn't happy.

There's a little mag issue going on with one of the lower leaves. I've been battling it for about 2 weeks now with foliar spray but I am slowly losing the battle even with the extra magnesium I've been running. Some of the other plants are showing Potassium deficiency. In response I'm backing off on the calcium with the nitrogen to try and get things put together before pushing them in about 10 days. I have plenty of time to get things under control with this specific plant and everyone else is cruising along really well.

The seeds are not. I am dialing in the genetics, really, I'm just getting started. The plants in the back, the more uniform looking ones, are all Nirvana Ice, and these are available. I think I got a 10 pack of reg seeds for under $30... maybe under $20...

Right now the best tasting plant I own is a Mutant Sensi Star phenotype I was lucky enough to stumble upon in an Attitude freebie special.
Hard to believe really...
IMG_3197.jpgIMG_3794.jpgIMG_5636.jpg

This plant has a citrusy flavor, similar to kiwi, but a sweetness to it also. Then there is a subtle dank, musky, woody flavor to it that reminds me of the bud I used to get back in high school. You know... That good shit from back in the day. The high is a kind of instant "fog" that fills your mind. This will metamorphose into a kind of "lifted" high where you talk and talk and talk... and then forget what the fuck I was talking about. My girl and I have also noticed an increased amorous vigor. She calls it horny weed. It is long lasting but as it fades you'll feel like it is time for a nap. Euphoric, tasty, nappy, and stoney. I love my Kiwi-Lime Sensi Star Mutant!

The leaves keep this kind of "ruffle" to them (they've got ridges!) and the plant showed really great tolerance to high ppms. I never found the happy zone for her the first time around but the next grow will be featuring nothing but clones of this Sensi Star genetics. You can check out my bud porn thread for a few more pics of her.

I haven't found a really killer phenotype of my Element Zero yet and that's what I'm looking for. I'm down to about the last 50 seeds or so. The plan is to find that really good plant, get her cloned, and breed my Element Zero Female and my Sensi Star Female with a "random" EZ male.

From there I'll start hybridizing (because everything would be so indica dominant). Ideally I'd like to work with some Durban Poison Landrace and some authentic Trainwreck. After that, it'd be time to start working with the Kushes my homie Mountain Mike/Big Mike/Mad Dog Mike has been developing for the last few years in collusion with a few other heads.

Honestly, I'm in this to win this. I love growing as a hobby and some day I'd like to make it my profession. I would love to offer medicine to patients, seeds to customers, and support the repeal of cannabis prohibition publicly. Unfortunately this is a good decade from becoming a reality when I consider the time it will take to source genetics, hone phenotypes, and develop stability of my own super strain.

Subcool is a real idol of mine and I'd be humbled to follow in the footsteps of someone who made a place for himself in a competitive market. I'm still fairly young, I have 10 years to hone, and 10 years to profit, and hopefully 50 more years after that to enjoy the fruits of those labors. This is the grand plan. I chose Snow Crash as a handle for a reason and would love to one day be more than a forum user.

I have been asked for these seeds though and I am pondering doing a breeding grow here in the near future so that I can preserve the genetic line given the few seeds I have. Spreading them around wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'd love to Johnny Appleseed my way from Portland to Santa Cruz one day. Tens of thousands of seeds!!!

These pictures are from last night, which is basically day 21. They look 21ish days into flowering I think. More or less.

Things are going well. The EC increase I did about 8 to 10 days ago was a touch too early and some tips are a little burnt as a result. I knew it at the time and the damage is totally negligible.

Today they got a 850 uS/cm solution of a 1-2-3 ratio, with just little extra magnesium (about 20 uS/cm) via Epsom Salt. Trichomes are just now starting to show up.

IMG_6393.jpgIMG_6377.jpgIMG_6407.jpgIMG_6457.jpg

The plan for days 21 to 28 is to ride a pretty balanced system, something like a 1-2-2 most of the time. Around day 30 is when I'm going to start a Phosphorus boost. This will continue, in a 1-4-3 ratio for about 12 days, taking me to day 42.

From 43 to 56 (the next two weeks) I'll run a more like a 1-3-4 at around 1500 uS/cm. This puts me exactly 8 weeks into flowering.

From that point forward it is just a little Fulvic Acid to aid in the organic breakdown and some water. Probably push them another 5 to 10 days, 61 to 65 days flowering, and harvest.

Only another... 6 weeks... ugh! Then dry, then cure...

Okay, so 8 weeks at the earliest before I'm smoking this stash. Gunna be a fun summer.

Lookin real good. Those leaves look so healthy. Gonna be a fun summer indeed. 6 more weeks of budding? Damn, that's intense. My harvest day is marked on the 16th of May! I won't yield nearly as much as you are going to but some bud is better than no bud. I think I'm looking at 2 o's give or take. Knowing my tolerance, that's more than enough to last me all summer :P. That might change..

Your system is legit. I wish I had that kind of space and the opportunity. Happy for ya, man. Stay high

Hell ya man! Plants are sexy! Like Ma said, they look so healthy! I feel ya about the 6weeks left then dry/cure times, sucks, I'm right there with ya lol. Sub'd for the rest of the ride tho, looking at all the journals that are around the same time frame as mine to see what's up. Good luck, looking good!

Thank you both for the kind words. I had just taken some new pictures and was happily surprised to see some love :)

I think I'm doing something right.

They are working on a 1550uS/cm solution right now, alternating with 1/2 strength feedings. I am putting them on daily feedings now that they are drinking about 2L per day. Every 3L feeding gives me 1L of runoff, about 33%, and should push them through this explosive flowering period.

I am finding that the more AN Big Bud I use the larger the flowers get. I have changed my nutrient system in response to that.

During weeks 3 and 4 of flowering (I'm on day 24 or something) I'm using about a 2-2-3 ratio. During weeks 5 and 6 I'll switch it up and run more of a 1-3-2 utilizing more of the Hydroplex and less of the Big Bud because of the ratios they are in.

Finally in weeks 7 and 8 I'll bring back the Big bud for the final potassium boost and cut back on the high phosphorus Hydroplex.

I definitely am impressed with the way things are going. It took some time to figure this shit out and it feels good to finally get a nice garden put together. Thank you everyone for the kind words and the support.

This thread is like [edit] 1500 hits strong so I know you are all watching!

Hopefully the payoff will be worth the wait.

No trouble dude. I saw that you got your journal started a few days ago also. I'll be chiming in there when the time is right.

Always glad to have a fellow CocoNaut up in here. Poor t0rn, I figure either he's been lost in a smokey haze for the last 2 months or that he's having a hard time with some sick plants and maybe his pride is keeping him from asking for help. Anyway, his first grow put my last 4 to shame so I felt the need to step my game up a bit.

I'm going to wait a few more days before I post pictures again. Probably on the 21st because, you know, I'll be busy tomorrow!

The buds are just now starting to come together and I'm getting an idea of what my top colas are going to be looking like. This is probably the best grow I've had (knock on wood) and I'm expecting a serious harvest if everything continues to go well.

Today is day 31 from the 12/12 flip, the beginning of the second month of flowering (I'm planning on a 60 day harvest), but I'm calling it day 28 (beginning of week 5) because of a timer issue in the earlier days.

Anyway. Glad to have your here buddy. The conversation has been a little dead but probably because I answer the questions in my posts before they can be asked. Also, I'm so anti-KISS and winning that I think many of the pro-KISS growers probably don't want to continue running their mouths off at me. Suckers!

I'm not high enough yet today. Time to toke!

LOL ya tomorow is the "good day" too bad I have to be away at 420 stupid doc appt and I totally forgot it was 420. I feel for torn as well...he had such great luck with his first grow..I highly doubt he's still in a smokey haze probably your other theory BUT who knows all could be going well ?? Anyway you have a helluva setup going and it all seems very logical and well thought out....I unfortnely had to change my plans from tents to rooms so hopefully I can at least break even this grow....

As far as KISS I assume your talking about (keep it simple stupid) vs the band LOL

Enjoy your smoke
