DO you have a small temp gauge? If so take it and try to clip it right near you cool tube and monitor the temps during the lights on time. As long as its under 85F you wont have a problem it being on the cool tube. Mine is resting on the cool tube and its doing fine. I point a fan on my cool tube and the temps are never near 85F. So thats a good way to gauge how close you can bring the plant to the light with ou burning or stressing it out.

Hope that helps man.

b16 i wouldnt worry about the light problem as it wasnt off for that long if you were flowering it may have affected the plant but in this early of vegging i think you will be fine try to make sure it never happens when flowering or has any light leaking inside in the 12/12 dark period...

Damn my bad, I thought he was asking about heat...LOL sorry I am stoned. But yes its fine and dont sweat it. Do keep in mind you should always check your timers, cables, wires, hangers, ballast every so often to make sure everything is running fine.

thanks guys, yea i must have messed it up i was drunk the other night so i probably bumped into it, my temp seems to really depend on my rooms temp, its winter so temps are fine.

and i really need to do something wit ph i have nothing to read ph, im low on funds so im hoping to flower early and buy more stuff for the next grow witch should be rocklock from DNA ordered from additude.

im working on the filter now and im trying to get tiger bloom for flower, the plants still good great besides the stupid one thats always been wilty, but its got no yellow or anything, hoping with less food it bounces back soon. idk when to flower i only want like 2 oz but ill be happy with one?

i got my ph test kit a my local fish store it has a chart a test tube ph up and ph down it was like 12 dollars i really need a digital ph tester and a ppm meter it such a pain in the ass testing water with a test tube but it least give me some direction on where my ph sits its winter whrere im at also but the nights are getting into one degree temps but my room stays about 65F at lowest

id say wait on the flowering for awhile let them do there thing when you test the ph and get the hang of things youll be set

will those ph tester tubes, the ones you have to put the threes drops of solution in it and see what color its changes test the soil, water, and nute water??

Im using bottled water that sits out open 24 hours at least..

Digital is the way to go but it also cost more and you dont have the $$$ for that yet. I am not good with those test strips cause I hate trying to match the colors. LOL Always to stoned to tell. Lowes has a Moisture/pH/Light reader all in one for $7.96 but its hard to get pin point reading for pH but it will give you an idea of where you are with pH. If you are using bottled water it should be nuetral for pH. Your soil is what I am curious to see.

Can I stick the digital one in the soil and the nute water and it will tell me
bekindbud im gunna need ya to answer this one cuz im actually wondering the same thing i figured it is important to test both water and soil ph im curious with the chart you gave me is that the water or the soil that should be 6.5 and if it is for the soil what should the water be vise versa

Some pics would be helpful.

Here is how I test my soil and water. I water and feed my plant using "Making It Rain" That means I basically flush my plant everytime I have to feed them Nutes. If my plants container = 1 gallon then I will use 3 gallons to flush my soil and I make sure the water is pH'd to 5.8. That is VERY IMPORTANT to have 3 gallons of water at 5.8. When you start to pour the water in your plants container have something on the bottom to catch the run-off water coming out your drain holes of the container. Test that and it will tell you were your soil's pH level is at(thats how I test my soil pH or stick probe directly in the drain holes to test too). Now after you flush your plant with the 3 gallons of 5.8pH water your soil will have nothing in it as far as salts and nutes. Last but not least take 1 gallon of water and mix your nutes. Test the water after your nutes are in it and make sure that reads 6.5pH. The reason you want that to be 6.5pH is to make all the nutes and micro nutes available to your plant. Now you will probably freak out cause you are going to see your plant become droopy as fuck! Thats ok and thats what you want! Now I do this about 1 hour after the lights come on in my tent. By the next day your plant will be perky as fuck and will be sucking up all those nutes you fed it. Make sure you keep your temps in your grow around 74F-78F. Before doing it I highly recommend you fully understand it before you try it. You need to make sure you have real good drainage in your soil. It works like a charm and i will never water any other way then "Making It Rain". Here is an example of what I am talking about: the pic on the left is Baby Lou droopy as fuck and the pic on the right is the next day. Perky and has a fresh feeding of nutes. the Proof is in the Perk!!! LOL If you still dont understand I can give you the link of Riddleme who is the guru of Making It Rain.

As long as it has a probe to stick in the soil and water.

They got some cheap digital probes on line for around $25.00 that you can use in yor soil and water.

Here is a easy to read link on pH : http://www.a1b2c3.com/drugs/mjgrow9f.htm

Here is a link that will help you identify pH problems with your plant. Real good pics to look at all the different problems. Must read and see if your plant has one of those problems: http://www.onlinepot.org/grow/PHfluctuationsornutrients3.htm

Hope it helps bro.

No if its at 8-8.5 I would recommend flushing your soil bro!!! What type of soil are you using? If you can give full details of your grow that would be helpful for us to help you. If you want I will go step by step with you on Making It Rain on the plant that has a reading of 8.5pH so you can see how it works?
