Took a few nice bud-shots yesterday, they seem to be growing really well. Haven't seen any signs of hermies either, so all is good. A few of the lower fan leaves are yellowing and getting a bit spotty and eventually dying, but were putting that to slight light deprivation. Does any one know if we should be worrying about this?

All the plant's vertical plants growth has slowed/ceased, although we have some crazy Blue Cheese phenos. The 2 taller plants at the front of the tent are BC, they both ended up at around 1m+ tall! The 2 at the back are propped up about 40cm from the floor and their still lower than the canopy, one BC is double the size of another. Anyone else experienced this with their Blue Cheese?

Cheers guys, here's the pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Hey brother, these plants are looking really nice! Sorry it probably already says in the journal, but how long did you veg them for? and how long do you need to flower these puppies? Good luck. Subbed and repped

Lookin as nice as ever boys...coming on well. Don't worry about the yellowing lower leaves, that happens as the plants progress through flowering u should start to lose a few more, the plants are focusing their energy on developing those juicy buds u got there so don't worry about the big fan leaves. Good luck an keep us posted!

Thanks for the input folks, much appreciated! We vegged the Cheeses for about 30 days, and the other 2 had about a week and a half extra, as far as flowering goes were not sure but probably around 9 weeks. We're just starting to see a couple of brown hairs on our smallest Cheese which is quite exciting, can anyone hazard a guess to how much longer they'll take after a couple turn?

Were still getting some yellowing and brown spots on our lowest fan leaves, so today we gave the plants their last hit of grow (N) nutrients to help combat this. We're pretty sure it's a N deficiency, any one got any ideas? Also one plant has got some purple stems, its in the pictures. We also started using Plagron's Green Sensation, it claims to boost sugar production and improve taste - it smells like candy so I'm not surprised. This seems to have helped, the plants are starting to stink a lot more, and crystal production has increased significantly :)

Here's the pictures, hope you like them.

Sweet, cheers pal! I'm thinking of growing some of that cheese myself, was 30 days veg enough? Do you reckon I could manage with 21 days? Whats your opinion about growing it- easy for a first timer? Any help is useful mate. I wish I could help you with your queries, but I'm a bit of a noob :(

Hope Cana does not mind, but your veg time depends a lot on how much space you have, plants will double or even triple in size when you are strat flowering. I usually Vegg for 3 weeks and it has yet to do me wrong.

No worries Gorlax! Yer, it all depends on your space or on which strains you have. If it were a predominantly sativa strain I would veg it for less time, so the height doesn't get too out of control in flowering. 3 weeks would have been more than enough, however the longer the plant is left in veg the bigger it can get and the more it can yield. Our plants didn't show alternating nodes or pre-flowers at the 3rd week, so we left them a week longer. I'd say it was pretty easy to grow, however I think the genetics are slightly unstable, meaning they may grow to different heights and have different flowering times. It seems they can suck up a lot of nutrients, but I'm not the kinda person to test that :) I think Gorlax has grown some as well, don't suppose you can offer any input?

Thats a nice line up you've got there bro.. I think those taller plants need some LST next time around that way you'll be able to manage the hieght alot better, you can still squueze them long stems where you want them to bend and then support them for a few days and they'll be ok. Lst's one of the best things for cheeses cause of the stretchy arms . Looking good for a first time grow mate mine were bonsai's compered to yours .. Keep it up..

Cheers Dr. Green, yer we probably should have LST'd those taller ones, however the platforms have worked out quite well. There's not too much to report, all the plants are getting full dosage of flower nutes. We're hitting them with 1ml of Green Sensation every watering as well; it's luminous green and smells like an apple flavour lollipop, strange stuff.

The buds are really starting to swell up now, especially on the shorter indica pheno (at the back right). The shorter plant looks like it will definitely finish first, the leafs are all yellowing and there's a few more brown hairs. The only problem now is the smell, they absolutely reek! I'm getting slightly worried the smell will permeate through our neighbours walls :wall:

We still have purple-ish stems on one of our Blue Cheeses, aside from that the plant looks very healthy. We're hoping its just a trait of this phenotype, its always had more colour to its stems. Hopefully it's not a nutrient problem, any ideas?

Here's some photos from yesterday

Your plants looks amazing. I had the same issue with smell with my last batch, I bought a charcoal filter that I hooked up to my extractor. Took 5 minutes to install and within an hour the smell was goone.

HAHA! Thats the problem Gorlax, I already have the carbon filter up and running! It's getting a little dusty though, I probably shouldn't have used it throughout veg :wall: lesson learned. I was thinking to use something like ONA gel to remove the smell, has anyone used anything like it?

Cheers HP, were also quite happy:-P! It's been a labour of love! Lots of free hours trawling the boards, learning as much as we can from the wise people of RIU (/sivving out the crazy myths). I'm glad you like em :eyesmoke:

Now you have me worried ;), anyone know how long a carbon filter is good for? is there a way to "clean" it. I guess you could always get an other one?

I'm pretty sure they're good for a year G, so I don't think we want to buy a new one any time soon! Screw the neighbours, its a beautiful smell anyway! I don't see why you couldn't take one of them apart and replace the charcoal/carbon stuff- saves paying another 50 euros! I'm gonna look into it...
