1st Grow: Just some Bag Seeds, a Waterfarm and a guy that loves smokin LOL

Looks awesome man! I had a couple bag seeds I bent over like that. But it looks like I'm going to get reduced yield, at least when compared to the FIM/topping multiple cola methods. One key difference is I didn't side mount my light like yours, I left it. so maybe that's the cause for me. Looks like a sativa you got there, 6 weeks left or so?

Thanks Bro! Your the 1st person that thought she looked good! lol. I actually didnt plan on mounting on the side I kinda had to. When I thought about it I figured it might actually do some good that way. Man did you see the pics from when I chopped everything off? I thought that was all she wrote after that so im surprised she's doing so good myself. So you think she looks Sativa? Aren't Sativa's generally exotics? or Higher in THC? I guess what im asking is..Can some regs you get off the strees be Sativa or all regs Indica?

Well its been about 4 weeks now so I've anticipating it being done after 8 which would put me around Valentines weekend. I just picked up a 30x microscope so I know the rule of thumb for when to chop. But now that I think of it...I've chopped and bent so much shit that she will probably be delayed a week or two because of the stress. Speaking of stress im praying she dont turn Hermi behind all that. If not..this bitch right here is a str8 Navy Seal! Can get through anything lol

It looks like a blend, not a pure sativa. hard to say what u get on the streets, but most growers choose indicas because they are better suited to indoor grows. You don't have to worry about stress from bending. It causes very little stress unless the tie downs are cutting into the plant and cutting off circulation. Pure indicas should take 7-9 weeks and sativa's somewhere in the 11-13 week range. But yea, trichs are the best way to tell when they're ready. If you order seeds offline usually you have a bloom time frame, with bag seed your not so lucky.

Yea I agree, Bag seeds you just gotta know what to do and when. Once I decide to gt a few seeds who do you recommended thats cheapest and most reliable? oh yea and discreet!!

I had good experiances with attitude, but have only ordered twice. Just don't get them shipped to the same house your growing in to be safe. Cheapwise, it depends on the breeder. I think the code 420 still works on there for a 10% discount.

Cool, i'll keep that in mind. Another random question.....Do you know of any nutrient that aids in a plants healing/stress process? Or do regularly used nutes provide the neccessary boost. At the moment im only using the Flora series. Flora micro and Flora bloom to be exact. No more Flora gro during flowering. or is no floragrow a bad thing?

A lot of people like superthrive, but I haven't used it so I can't give a real good opinion. You only need a small bottle, I believe the labels calls for 1 drop/gal. Liquid sea-weed is another choice for organic growing but man is that stuff messy & almost black.

Micro & bloom should be fine because micro provides plenty of N, especially for flowering. I don't know if your familiar with the lucas formula, but basically it involves using micro & bloom only the entire grow, at varying strengths obviously.

oh ok I see, well ill probably just use the reg stuff until i harvest then mess with the big boy stuff on my next grow then compare.

What you think about Bud Candy? I've seen some pretty decent reviews on it. I think I wanna try it

Ok so im a day or two past 4 weeks flowering. All lower branches seem to be budding the fastest while the Cola drags behind. Is this normal?

Im still only using Flora micro and Bloom. 20ml/G of Bloom and 10ml/G of Micro. Using a 2 Gallon Tank. I haven't used a PPM Meter since I started and i've managed to not have any nute burns. Im afraid to feed aggressively as I don't want to take chance of adding more stress. Surprisingly even after all the stress she's been through I still see no sacks or male flowers, So I guess im going something right

To minimize on heat and smell I put a Air Purifier that gives the tent pretty good circulation keeping temps at around 82-83 with lights on. I plan on getting a Ozone Generator within the next week or two.

Since i have the HPS mounted on side I give her a 180 turn in the middle of light period to get even light . Also since I've mounted it on the side I untied the branches to let them hang freely and catch up some Co2

So from the pix what do you guys think?

So after one night of 10/14 I've noticed things started to thicken up. I understand doing this will decrease my yield..but im pushing it so close to my move date that I needed some kinda boost....Anywho..all feedback, criticism, hate messages are welcome!! Holla Bak!:bigjoint:

Last night I spared a few grams of some regs to make some Cannabutter. This is the recipe I used.....

You will need,

1.) A large saucepan

2.) A stir spoon

3.) Sticks Of Butter (Its about 1lb. of butter to every ounce of weed so make sure you do the math).

4.20) Marijuana

5.) Cheesecloth, and some elastics

6.) A couple tupperware containers with lids

Step 1.

Bring a few cups of water to a boil on the stovetop, it doesn't really matter how much water you use because in the end it will all be seperated, Just make sure the marijuana is always floating about 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of the pan.

Step 2.

When the water is at a boil place the butter in the pan, again it's about 1lb. of butter, 4 sticks, to every ounce of marijuana, so if your using a half ounce of bud thats about 2 sticks of butter. Be sure not to let the butter burn, if it appears to be burning then let melt on a medium setting.

Step 3.

Now that the butter has melted you can now add the marijuana. Again make sure the stove is now on a low setting.

Stir occasionally, I tend to stir every time the mix starts bubbling.
I usually let the bud simmer for 3 hours, But you can always tell it's done when the top of the mix turns from a really watery consistency to glossy and thick.

Step 4.

While letting the mix simmer, You are now going to need to get the cheesecloth strainer ready, which will also be used to store the cannabutter.

Take two sheets of cheese cloth and fold each one over so they each have two layers, place these over a tupperware container (with the lid off), and secure them there with elastics.

When the water has turned glossy and thick on top it . You are now ready to strain the marijuana out of the mix, place your tupperware containers with the cheesecloth lids in the sink and slowly pour the entire mix on top of the cheesecloth

When the saucepan is empty carefully undo the elastic, pick up the cheesecloth from all four sides and squeeze all of the remaining butter out,

I throw away the marijuana after this, you can try and dry it out, let me know what happens.

Step 6.

Now place the lid on the tupperware and place it in the fridge to sit overnight, You need to do this so the water can seperare from the cannabutter, be patient.

Step 7.

Now that you have awakened in anticipation for your new treat, its time to seperate the waste water!

The cannabutter on top, the waste water on bottom.

Take the lid off the tuperware and hold it upside down over the sink, place a dish in the sink to catch any cannabutter that may fall, squeeze two sides of the tupperware and the waste water will pour out, once all the water is gone your done! The cannabutter is ready to cook with.

If you do not wish to cook with it now, you can just place it back in the tupperware, place the lid back on and store it in the fridge.

And be careful, the high from eating "special edibles" is often considered much more intense then inhaling, lasting anywhere from 2-8 hours. Do not attempt to eat too many at first. And I wouldn't recommend driving. Just chill out, and enjoy!

I didn't take pics as I made it so sorry guys but I snapped a few this morning when I layed it out. My chick is bout to make some belgian waffles and bacon!!!!! PEACE:weed:

So one of my many branches ended up being bent and broken at the lower portion so I trimmed it up and it is now drying. Here are a few pix :weed::weed::weed::hump::hump::hump::hump:

Where did all your fan leaves go? what % of the pistils are red vs white? Looks like you'll have some bud to enjoy before too long.

Where did all your fan leaves go? what % of the pistils are red vs white? Looks like you'll have some bud to enjoy before too long.

An old friend gave me a tip on exploding trichs during flush. You cut all leaves in half leaving less than a inch on and somehow this stresses the plant in such a way it will pack on a heavy sheet of resin on top of what was left of the leaf. I saw some pix of the process and it worked pretty good.

As for the pistills, majority are still white but everyday a entire flower will go half half. Looks beautiful man!!!

Did you see the pix of the early branches I snatched off? I just did a quick cure method just to get a taste of her and....man one joint has me on the Empire State Building! lol Im extremely excited now because this batch wasn't flushed, dried or cured properly..so i see it has it can only get 10x better if done the right way!!!

It is true what they say about more white trichs versus amber means more of a "Head" high. I def think its worth it to wait it out till they are half half. Don't get me wrong, the head high is still outrageous with this stuff!!!

Seeing the dried weight of this branch I snatched a few days ago I think final stash will probably be a little less than a Oz, but IDK it has packed on some good weight in the past few days.

Bad thing about the predried stuff is it does have a bit of a "planty taste".

yeah, quick drying never works for taste, but it gives you a good idea of the high. I averaged about a ounce a plant, my crazy pineapple had 2.5 zips tho. :D I like the high better of earlier cuts I think, sometimes I wanna toke and do shit, not be sunk into the couch. Although, there is a time for that too (bed time bowls lol). So I guess for me best would be 75% of the weed harvested earlier mostly white few amber, and 25% harvested later 50% amber.

As for the leaf thing remember a couple things... fan leaves store carbs, when you remove them you are removing energy storage centers. Maybe the most important more resin on leaves doesn't equal more thc. The resin is the plant oils ect not the chemical we all seek to get high. And I've heard its purpose is to help the pollen from males stick to increase chances of pollination before death. I'd consider at least trying a few plants without doing this and compare your results. If you could get two identical clones and grow them side by side that would be cool, then you could really see for yourself the effects.

The best is near enjoy.
