looks like they're coming along really nicely. you got any with 5 leaves yet? the 24/7 or 20/4 lighting schedule is up to you. at this stage (you're just over a month in right?) i would probably keep them at 20/4 but hey, experiment with different ways. that's how you get better at growing! when were you planning on changing to 12/12?

yea i did a measuring and a count of the leave sets on all the plants i have 1 plant with 8 sets, 2 plants with 7 sets, 4 with 6 sets, 1 with 4 sets and, 1 with 3 sets. I'm debating with myself on the light thing, wether to go to 24 or stay at 20. I've been told by everyone the more light they get the faster they will grow but they have been doing good so far and i dont know if i want to change anything.. yes they have been veging for just over a month. I'm on day 32 actually from when My first seed sprouted. but some of the plants (the smaller ones) didn't come up until a week later. so my plan is wait until I'm ready to make my smallest one flower and then move to 12/12 I'm hoping that will be in about 3 weeks but i will probably end up waiting 4. depends how big they get and how fast they get that big.. lol

24 hours of light is good for them but they do need their rest sometime. there is never 24 hours of daylight so that's what i'm going off of right now. i bet they start picking up speed pretty soon. what type of soil are you using? are you having any bug problems?

Im using Miracle Grow Potting soil. when i started using it i didnt know that so many people had had bad luck with it but i havent had the slightest problem with it. and as far as bugs go, knock on wood, no problems. i started LST on 3 of them today, im going to see how that works for me. i just hope all 3 of them are not Male. here are some pics of the 3 im LST'ing.

yeah i didn't know it was a bad one either. haha it's just so mainstream so people know it. be happy about no bugs right now but keep an eye out for them. i'm fighting off gnats right now and they just seem to keep coming in more and more numbers. LST is low stress training right? haven't really read up on that yet but will look into it more. haha it kinda sucks not knowing if they're male or female but it is exciting!

yea LST (Low Stress Training). honestly i didnt know a single thing about it. but i red up on it today and found its simple and could make your yield twice as much some times if done right. the key is if ITS DONE RIGHT. lol thats why i only did it to 3 of them. i dont want to ruin my whole crop if i fuck it up. but I actually found a good thread on Rollitup on LST. https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/6834-how-lst-low-stress-training.html<click here< is the URL it explains it pretty well but i also had to search google to find out more. it is exciting not knowing but at the same time i worry i have invested all this time growing a closet full of males. haha but i try to stay thinking positive.

Ok, so after bending 3 of my ladys over i watched them close and after three hours they had already turned up and faced the light. i was so pleased i decided to bend another one of them over. one that was a little more mature and had little leaved coming out of the crooks about 4 leaf sets up. Also i was wondering if anyone had an idea of why this plant in the other 2 pics look different than the other previously posted plants. the leaves seam to be allot thinner than the others, could this be a sat.? i think all my others are ind. not sure.MDM LST.jpgBudds Bigalow.jpgBuds Bigalow2.jpg

It's probably got more sativa in it's genetics if the leaves are thinner than the other ones. BTW, about your light schedule, I prefer 18/6. In my opinion it's better suited to the plant. The 6 hours dark does wonders. You're looking good thus far, keep up the reading and learning.

thanks for all the input guys, i moved to 24 hours light last night just to see what kinda reaction i got out of my plants. the ones i didn't LST i couldn't notice much upward growth but i did notice a significant amount of leaf growth. but the ones i LSTed seamed to grow quit a bit up toward the light. i estimate after 4 more days i will have to pin them down a second time.

ok, so my babys have been under light for about 48 hours strait since i moved up to 24 hour light and i can notice leaves starting to grow out of the crooks of the leaves already on the plant. I'm really excited about this new growth even though i know its nothing spectacular, just pumped that i have a closet full of what could very well be some amazing ganja.

Yeah Weedy! Lookin good over there bro. A few words to the wise:

It's definitely better to UNDERWATER than to overwater... Here's what you do, give the plants a GOOD deep water, so you know all the soil is soaked. Now, pick up the plants and try to get a feel for how heavy they are. Now, you will know when they need to be watered, because they will feel MUCH lighter.

24/0 is ok but your plants really need a nap, 18/6 is ideal... You'll be suprised how much more growth they'll show on a 18/6 schedule.

LST is awesome man, it WILL give you some bushy bitches. I hope have some way of managing the smell later on in flower broski... Your whole house is gonna reek. Seriously.

Good shit man, thanks allot, im going to try that with the watering and i was also thinking of slowly scaling the light schedule down again after a few days under 24 hours. as far as the LST goes im excited to see how they turn out. and as far as the smell goes I welcome it. i live in an empty appt building with the closest neighbor being fifty yard away. so i cant wait till i finally see some actual buds growing. thanks for all the help and if i have anything to ask ill def give you a shout. thanks man. So i decided i was going to go ahead and convert the Hope Chest that i was going to use for my clones into a Grow Box and put my plants in there for now until they get to big and then they will go back into the closet where i had them. ii just think that they will e able to get more light in there because it is more concentrated and less light leaks out into the closet and is lost instead of being focused on the plants. so please comment and tell me what you think, if this is good or if i should put them back in the closet.

that looks like a nice little box you got there. how much room do you have to the top of it? looks like your babies are growing fast! how's that lst been treating you so far?

i think i might have killed my baby. will post some pictures in the morning.

i dont have much more room in there for them to grow but that was not the original purpose of the box. i made it to put clones in in a month. but i decide to put my plants in there now to see how they did under more concentrated light because i think i was losing allot of light in the closet because it was leaking out into the closet instead of being focused on the plants. last night was there first night in the box and i thik they grew a significant amount. as far as the LST goes it is working good. its really cool how the plant entirely changes shape and faces the light. i really hope you didnt kill it man. what happened?

yeah that is a good idea for clones. i'm probably going to give lst a shot on my next grow. you're going to get a good crop out of this. hopefully you'll end up with more females than males.

that sucks man. i checked it out. dont know what ells to say except sorry and keep trying. Yea the grow box is working nicely and the 24 hour light has done allot of good. i hope i end up with more girls too.
