Oh ok that supernova has a dim option for each spectrum of the light I did not know that very nice feature !

Well all three are looking really nice. When I left for work this morning the EasyRyder was still trying to shed the husk. When I got home from work the husk was gone and it looks to be taller. So far everything seems to be going fine. Temps are still holding steady. I am looking at a way to get my carbon filter up off the ground and out of the way. Looks like I will be moving the fan outside the cabinet and probably mount to the top of the cabinet. The filter canister that I have is 20" long itself. My cabinet is 5'Hx3'Wx2'D. The only place I can hang it up is up on the left side but that area leaves me no room for the ducting. Looks like I am going to buy an Elf canister. Found them online for $44.95. They are 10" long and will fit perfectly hanging up on the right side. Which is the same side as the exhaust. I will have an elbow inside which will allow the ducting to connect straight from the canister to the exhaust. Can't wait to get this done. Maybe I can sell the carbon filter I have on craigslist? Anyway here are the pics I took today forgot to take one of the temps.

Thanks for checking it out! Yeah second guessing is a bitch! This whole project has consumed me, and now I gotta try and manage my fantasy football team. LOL I'm just saying that this is all I think about! I'm sure I'm not the only one on here like this! Lol

I can't believe that 6 days ago I put 3 seeds in water and soaked overnight and now they are nice looking seedlings. 5 days ago I put them into soil. I checked on them a few hours ago before I left for work. They are looking good. The easyryder has really sprouted up. Just 24 hours ago it was still fighting to shed the shell. It has since gotten rid of the shell and is now the tallest of the three! It is definitely to the top of the pot with one of the onyx right behind it. Funny because this onyx was the last seed to show the taproot and went into soil about 5 hours after the other two. Just thought I would give a quick update and share my good feeling. Can't wait to get home and check in on them. I also ordered an elf carbon filter last night should be here in a few days. It's half the size of my other filter and will definitely ba able to hang at the top of my cabinet freeing up valuable real-estate down below.

They seem to be doing well. Getting a little taller. Just gave them a little drink. The only thing I am worrying about right now is the level of my soil in the pot. They are in little 4" pots and to me it seems the soil is a little low, about 1" from the top of each pot. I also have a little gravel in the bottom of each pot. Maybe a half inch. Just wondering if I have anything to be worrying about? Thanks for any advice you can give! I'll post some pics a little later!

Well it's been a week and they are coming along really nice! At least to this rookie they look nice. I guess now I just wait for a couple more weeks and then transplant. I still have the light on 24 hrs. May switch it to 20/4 when I transplant. Still not sure on that. The temps seem to be alright. The max it has been is 84 degrees and a low of 77 degrees. I think I am alright in this range? Any suggestions or am I missing anything so far? Doing alright gave them a drink this morning before work. In the pics I have today one of the seedlings (which is the easyryder) leaves are kinda curling. The other two(the Onyx) the leaves are fine. Anything for me to be worrying about? Tomorrow I will be heading to the store for some supplies(spray bottle, measuring glass) just wondering what some of you are using to measure the PH in your soil and water? Any ideas on a cheap decent meter to buy? Are the soil test kits any good? I really need something decent and not to expensive any ideas would be nice. They are looking really good to me. I can see the new sets of tiny leaves coming in after the first set of true leaves. Temp is 79 degrees and Rh is 48% Sorry no pics to post tonight had to keep the wife happy and take her out to dinner. I've been in the run since I got off work. I did pick up a ph meter at the local store. I think I calibrated it right. If so then my tap water is at 7.1 ph and the distiller water I have is reading 5.8 ph. Looks like I need to make a trip back to the local store for the ph up/down stuff. They look like they may need a little water by then, should I give them a little drink of what I've been giving them from the beginning which is the distilled water. Maybe the tap is better? That is until I can get the right stuff tomorrow. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Well it has been a busy last couple of days. I bought a hannah digital ph meter at the local hydro store. Also got the calibration solution and the ph up/down solutions. Bought some spray bottles and other items. So now I just have to lower the PH of my tap water. Seems easy enough. Was wondering now that I have the meter and the solutions to adjust ph do I need to let my tap water sit out at all before adjusting ph or can I adjust straight from the tap and water right away? Pretty sure that when the time comes to add nutes I add nutes to tap water then check and adjust the ph? The Plants are looking really good! In a pic or 2 I pulled the first true leave aside a little to show the new leaves coming in. Its been ten days so far and I think maybe I should transplant in about a week. Any suggestions on this? I am using the recipe for success kit by technaflora. Today i am going to spray some thrive alive b-1 green solution onto the foliage. Not sure if I should spray under leaves also? I will just give a spray on top for now. I think this should have been done by now not sure. I have also noticed in two of the pots that there is some sort of green stuff on the soil and some perlite has turned green. You can see this in a couple pics. Is this something to worry about? Is it an algae or fungi? I am using fox farms ocean forest soil. No nutes yet just water. Any info and advice is welcome and appreciated! Thanks! Well I took a peek in on them this morning before work. It sure is cool to see new growth everyday! The easyryder is definitely taller today! They all have new leaves coming in that are bigger than last night. Also last night I sprayed some b-1 water mix onto the foliage as per my recipe for success kit.

Well it's been 15 days since they were germinated and this morning I got my first whiff of the sweet aroma of my little ladies. I took the easyryder out of the cabinet before work to admire and that's when I got the first smell. That will wake you up! No 5 hour energy today that got me totally pumped! They are really looking nice and green. I need to figure out when to transplant. Probably next week. I wish I would have started them in their final pot. I also finished the rest of the fan/ filter mod to the cabinet. I had to wrap the fan in water heater insulation to muffle it some. Seems to work pretty good. Wondering also if I can give them a mild feeding of some nutes now or should I wait till transplanting? Well gotta get back to work, will post some new pics after work this evening!

Hey what's up man. I'll post new pics in about 4 hours. Gotta finish the work day. I definitely want to show em off! So far the supernova is doing awesome. Up until Saturday it was on 24/7 for 12 days straight. Saturday night I had to make a mod to the cabinet so I had to remove the light. Once I turned it off and removed it from inside the cabinet, I felt it and barely felt any heat on it at all. I really love that about LED lights. With the heat issue in my space I couldn't do it with a hps or mh light. Still no regrets so far on saving selling my drums and buying the Supernova. But I still need to see what happens in the flowering stage and what the harvest looks like. I am optimistic though that I won't be disappointed. Later and thanks for following! New pics soon!

Na im pretty sure that many watts of LEd should do you good for flowering I would think differently if you had just one UFO in there but that supernova seems to be puttin out the penetration and light !!! cant wait to see those babies budding !

Finally able to sit down and relax tonight. Had to keep the wife happy, so we went to the movies. Seen The Town. Great movie! Ok, back to why we are here. I watered them a few hours ago, the soil was really dry. I was thinking I would be watering tomorrow. Took some decent pics tried to get some shots of the underneath foliage coming in. Another busy day. I did make a trip to the dispensary for some medicine. I picked up an eighth of Royal Queen and an eighth of some Blue Dream. Both excellent in my opinion! Hopefully I can stretch it till after football on sunday. Anyway the little ladies are looking very nice! Everyday is better than the next. I love the color, very green. Looking very healthy to me. I am anxious to transplant them! Probably in a week. I was thinking I might try LST on one of them, but I decided to just let these do their thang. It is my first grow, so maybe ill try LST on one of the next plants. Probably gonna germinate three more when I transplant these three. Here are a few pics to check out. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or info on transplanting and keeping the shock to a minimum? Should the soil in the new pot be dry or wet? If wet should it be with nutes(maybe at qtr. strength) in the water or just plain. I did water them this morning. I'm thinking I should water again with some of this b1 before transplanting. Maybe not. Read that in a book I have by Jorge Cervantes(the medical growers bible). My Recipe for success kit has the b1 but does not say to water with b1 two days before transplanting like Jorge's book says to do. The kit says to water with a mixture of "SugarDaddy" and "Root66" that was included. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I now know for sure they are all female. Got home from work checked them out, and they are all showing pistils. I was surprised to see the pistils. Thought it would be another week or so for that. These autos grow fast! Monday will be three weeks since germination. Still no nutes but a foliage spray of some b1. I will be watering with a mix of sugardaddy and root66 immediately after transplanting as per my recipe for success. Wondering how long after transplanting do I start feeding the nutes for the vegetative stage? How long do I keep feeding these autos the grow nutes before switching to bloom nutes? I will be transplanting tonight and also switching the light to 20/4. Been on 24/7 so far. Should I keep the light on 24/7 for a couple more weeks and then switch to 20/4 for flowering. Is it even going to matter since they are autos? Trying to figure out when to use nutes for veg and flowering stages of autos. Thanks for any info and advice! Tried to get a few pics of the pistils but couldn't. Will post some new pics tomorrow!

So from my limited experience I have the following advice. From everything I've read, you don't want to change the light cycle on these guys. Once your at 24x7 stick to it or else it can play a little with their minds. I started with 20/4 and kept it there the whole grow on my lowryders.

As for transplanting. I read somewhere to transplant when dry and then water immediately as it cuts down on shock. Its what I've done for 3 grows and it has worked great.

And on to the nutes question. I had a hard time finding any info on when to change it up for auto flowering plants. From what I remember I started slowly adding flowering nutes when they started showing sex. Mind you, I started slow so as not to over nute them, but thats when I started. I only have 3 grows under my belt so take it for what its worth.

On a side note, I'm looking forward to see what this led thing does for you. I love auto flowering plants and to be honest they were my favorite so far. They reward you with crazy fast growth, easy lighting setup, and my lowryders had a great smoke. I have been interested in LED's and might want to go with them for a mother setup I want to start. I'm subscribed!
