Plants are looking really great. If they don't take any wrong turns you're going to have a nice harvest, but as I've found, the first 30 days are definitely the easiest. Looks like that LED is doing the job, and it better given the price tag! I'm sure LEDs are going to drop like a rock though when they get the kinks worked out and it becomes the primary light source for the vast majority of home and possibly mid sized growers. Not sure if the hardcore growers will ever go LED, time will tell.

As far as the Ladies go they have all grown even more since yesterday. One of the ONYX is now 21" tall and the other is 16 and a half. The EasyRyder is right at 20". I'm anxious for what the next few weeks bring! Thanks for following!

Yeah the light seems to be doing the job. Can't wait to see the final buds! Yeah it was pretty spendy, but I have no regrets so far. Hidhut have been really cool also with any questions I have had! I was surprised how fast they sent out my new power supply! Anyway thanks for checking it out!

Right on thanks for checking it out! Actually my light is the enhanced spectrum model so supposedly no extra white light is needed. It's supposed to be good for all stages of growth on it's own. Which actually is the reason i bought it. Definitley could have found a cheaper light and added some cfl lights also. I seen this light in high times best of grow gear guide did a little reasearch sold my drums and bought it. It was spendy, but so far no regrets! I can't wait to see what the final buds look like. Wondering if anyone has any experience with "The Dryer" by BC Norrhern lights. It's a little metal cabinet to dry medicine. Has a carbon filter in it also. I called them and it costs $660.00. Gonna take a little time for me to save up that loot. I need to figure out how I am gonna dry and cure my medicine without smelling up the whole house. I need to be stealth about it! Anyone have any plans to build a dryer type box? Hanging in the closet to dry is not an option at all for me! If I can't come up with some sort of plan I will probably have to use my grow cabinet for this harvest and hopefully have something in place for my next grow. Anyone use an herb dryer before? I read somewhere that u can buy an herb dryer on eBay for under $200.00. If an herb dryer will suffice I am definitely down with that price! Any info and help on this will be greatly appreciated! Gave them some water and noticed a couple pistils on the main stem that were dead. Is this anything to be worried about?
They are close to being 40 days old. My easyryder still has some curling down and yellow tips.

I'd say I'm pretty anxious to see what happens the next few weeks! I checked in on them this morning and they look and smell beautiful! The tallest Onyx is at 22". I'm not sure but the easyryder seemed to be doing better. As far as those curling down leaves. I'll do a thorough check later. Maybe she just needs some water and a little molasses for awhile. By the way I bought the light from Hid-Hut.com. Thanks for checking it out!

Well today they are 41 days old since germination and look pretty killa to me! The EasyRyder still has the curling and yellowing of the leaf tips. I also noticed a tiny leaf with a few holes in it, and some purple streaks on the stem. Maybe someone can diagnose this prob for me. But she still looks good despite these things. She is about 22" tall.

Man I hope you don't run into the problem that I've been battling since around day 30-35 with my Easy Ryders. I've had other people visiting my thread mentioning similar problems growing their Easy Ryders. Around day 30-35 all of my ERs started to develop symptoms similar to over watering (though not exactly), but they definitely weren't over watered. The lowest, largest fan leaves would start to become a lighter shade of green, then they would start to turn yellow from the tip and outer edges of the leaf and work it's way inward toward the stem. The stems would also often turn purple during the process (not always), and eventually the whole leaf and stem would turn completely yellow and would die or would easily come off of the plant. The problem worked it's way up the plant from the bottom up, taking out the largest, oldest fan leaves, and when those were all gone after a few weeks of this, it started taking out the smaller fan leaves, again from the bottom up.
I haven't nailed anything down for certain, but at this point after spending about 3 weeks combating the problem, things seem to point towards the use of molasses as the culprit. I thought it was my new Brita filter since it started right after I changed it, but I switched to distilled water over 2 weeks ago and the problem has persisted, although it seems to improve about a week after I use molasses each time (and seems to be worst in the first 2-5 days after I use it). I don't have any good explanation for why that would cause the problem, seeing as how so many people use it and apparently don't suffer from the same affliction, but nothing else in my regimen changed between the time when my plants were a thing of beauty, and when the problem started, except for my new Brita filter and the use of molasses.
The plants are looking good btw, anxiously waiting to see the results of your grow! I'm on the precipice of ordering a grow tent for my closet and fully equipping it, and I'm really torn between good old fashioned tried and true technology (HPS/MH) and modern LED technology. To date though the only LEDs I've seen that MIGHT be able to realistically do the job cost $500-$900+ for a 2x2 or 3x3 grow tent setup, and the jury is still out even on most of those LEDs. It's just tough to justify for a hobby grower, especially when you can buy complete 400W HPS systems with both MH and HPS bulbs and a decent ballast for $165 plus shipping. Problem is you then need fans and ducting etc., and the next thing you know you're looking at $350-$400 even with inexpensive deals, plus the added electricity costs over time. Ah well, there's no doubt imo that LED will be the way to go eventually, it's only a matter of time for prices to drop and technology to improve. At least a lot of the manufacturers now are hitting the right peaks and using the right spectrums, unlike most of the junk that was being sold a year or more ago (and much of it still is).

Thanks a lot for the info on the EasyRyder. I would definitely say I am not over watering also. From your description though mine has the curling down and the yellow leaf tips on the top. It appears to be the smaller leaves on top not the bigger leaves at the bottom. Did you continue to use nutes? Mine was fed water this last time, I skipped the nutes this time.
I was looking into buying a tent myself, but had to build a cabinet to fit inside my closet. Glad I did! I really like what I was able to come up with. It is perfect in my closet! As far as the LED goes, I know what you mean about the crap that they are selling out there. I spent some time researching before finally deciding on the Supernova. I eventually decided on the Supernova after research and seeing it in the High Times best of gear guide. They had it as the best new LED technology. So here I am thinking I got the best and shortly after buying mine they(hightimes) came out with a new gear guide and had a new LED light as the best. LOL What you gonna do? I feel I have a high quality LED light so I guess that's all that matters. It seems to be doing the job so far. Like I have said before in my thread I have no regrets on my light selection, and I would highly recommend this light to anyone looking into buying a LED light! When I was looking for my light the main thing I wanted was a light that was a stand alone light. I did not want to have to by a light and then have to add extra cfl lighting to help flower. The Enhanced Spectrum Supernova is a stand alone LED light. It is good for all stages of growth by itself. The supernova model below mine was about $300.00 cheaper. I did not feel like dealing with the extra cfl lighting so I spent the extra loot to get my model. Bottom line for me is to do your research! You get what you pay for also! That's what I feel.

just curious im new around here and im switching from my 400 hps to an led as well because i have to keep power and heat lower, bills are killin me and so are the breakers... Just was curious if you had looked at these LED's from lighthouse and gotham hydroponics before u decided on the super nova. I looked at the super nova sick light just way to expensive these Lighthouse ones seem priced right to me and i've heard good things and there was a thread on here earlier i looked at that got good results. Just curious if u had looked at them before u popped for the big dawg u got.

Thanks for stopping by. As for the led light I did not check out those lights. I looked on eBay also but couldn't find anything I liked. I have seen some people talking bout led lights by calyx. I went to the site, and they seemed pretty good. I know they were 3w diodes also. Mine only have the 1w diode. I'm sure you can find a quality light cheaper than mine! You may have to add some cfl lighting. Like I said in my earlier post, the main selling point for me was the enhanced spectrum of the supernova. I didn't want to have to add the extra cfl lighting.
