Hey guys cheers for the comments... Well they are both bag seeds from what i under stand 1 is bubblegum...and the other i cant remember :)

Plants have been in 12/12 now for 8 days so i am getting really close to seeing these girls show sex.

They have got some serious growth speed on the go to! changing light height everyday :leaf:

So tonight i decided that i would do some small LST...(Light stress training) to the smaller plant of the bigger 2... I don't know if it will have any beneficial changes to the flowering of the plant (More yield) but i wanted to allow more light into the whole of the plant anyway...

As you can see in the above picture i have tied the branches down and out a bit, This picture was taken 6 and a half hours after they had been tied down all of them are now pointing up right perfectly open to the light.

Above in this picture we have the bigger of the too loving the light and showing great branch growth...A few days before these pictures i had cut off the bottom 2 branches of each plant as these were not getting enough light and were just wasting the energy of the plant...

It would be great for someone to let me know if and what the benefits of the lst will be or if it will have no benefit at all...

enjoy the thread man, im a couple weeks behind you but its nice to be able to see so many examples from others. everything looks nice though.

Great news today....

The smaller of the 2 larger plants shew her first pistols!!! so happy 1 down.. 5 to go...

Shall keep you all updated every step of the way. :leaf:

Hey man nice small cfl plants, i love cfls personally, nice tight nodes and as long as you have a fan over the light they can get 1" close no problem, i think part of the reason there isnt much activity on the journal is they split categories up even more from indoors to hid and cfl etc, so a lot of traffic is elsewhere, but great job so far!

Thanks a lot really appreciate the comment :) yeah its a bit disappointing that this thread is not getting the interest id have liked but never mind! Yeah i have had them 1" away from the light at all times has worked great i have really enjoyed the grow so far with CFL's. :leaf:

i really like my cfls too, i think they are the way to go for people who just grow for themselves or in smaller areas. part of me wishes i had bigger hps and mh lights but i really dont need them, maybe when i move to the country ;) oh and the sun, grow some christmas trees haha

Yeah im exactly the same... the reason im doing this grow is because where i am its £10 for .7' bags!!!! it madness so i refuse to keep blowing all my cash for them stupid prices... Yeah i think about using MH and HPS i was actually seconds away from getting a 400 Watt HPS but im glad i didn't.. This grow is all i need and is efficient to what i need :)

More Great news today!!

I have my second female coming from one of the smaller 4... I also had to chop a male yesterday also one of the smaller plants.

So thats me at 2 females... and 1 male (but im sure i have another boo) that just leaves 1 more of the smaller plants to show its sex.:leaf:

Another quick update.... I now have seen all the sex signs of my 6 plants..

I Ended up with 3 Females :leaf:

2 Males :-|

.....and a hermie ha :shock:

So its now time for me to let these little girls into flower and see what they produce will post pictures within the week! :)

Thanks alot feliks, now lets see if they flower like yours :p 2 of them are only around 10" ha the other is the smaller of the 2 biggest.. still questioning the sex of the biggest.:leaf:

Sooo guys as requested i have some pictures of how i concluded my sexing of the plants...And general plant images... :)

So below we have the picture of my biggest plant with the 2 main top branches (A result of topping).. its a great looing plant and has been healthy from day 1...At first i believed this to be a male but have gone back to a open mind as the "balls" are taking more of a new node growth look.. But never the less here the hopeful female is..

So below in this image we have the first confirmed female... Its the second biggest down from the above bigger plant.. This too is a lovely looking plant very short but very bushy.. The small amount of LST i did has really opened all the lower levels to the light and resulting in very nice bud sites that ALL have pistols showing in the top shown in the second picture below (1 of many bud sites).

Sooo below i will show my hermie!! first ever encounter with a hermie and hopefully my last.. such a waste of beautiful pistold developement

There is 1 of my six missing as it was a full blown male and was sadly ridden of.

So there it is... My 3 confirmed females...My hermie....And my un sexed big girl.

Thanks for the pics. Very useful for me as I'm germing 6 bagseeds at the moment and will have to do the same in about 3 weeks. That hermie is very naughty hiding below the top leaves like that!

Haha yup the cheeky beggar! Its a shame as it had the potential to be a great female :(
