1st journal, 2nd grow soil.

Them girls got big I like it. Looks like you're giving them alot of loving. Good luck on the breeding, what strain was the male? Hopefully you breed some new super genetics. :leaf: cheers!

I have been busy prepping for and taking a "vacation" so I'm sorry I've not been keeping up on this.

I have kept birth control in the feedings and there is a visible difference in the plants. I started with 5 bagseed, 4 were in the experiment, 1 was "slow". 3 of those went male on me. I killed them all and kept the tips of the best one for breeding. I have 1 control and one experiment plant left.

My 3 other seeds were doing great, little smaller than the bag seed but I took that to be because the bag seeds were more sativa? just my random guess.

UNFORTUNATELY ... because of vacation and bad plant sitter I think my experiment is ruined. :*(

I think my plant sitter forgot to water my plants for a long time. I came back and only half of my water jugs that I set out and numbered each day were empty, the plants were soaked and the drain trays REALLY full. 90% of my fan leaves were bent down and crispy brown dead. Kinda like they forgot for a week and a half then went ... oh shit she comes back in a few days, lets go water the plants. They swear they came and watered them and the plants were fine 2 days ago.

The leaves in the buds and the buds are the only things still green. My whole crop is on life support, & my experiment and breeding is most likely ruined. I'm so upset. I just keep telling myself that at least they took good care of my dog, so I don't go off on them.

I've learned a hard lesson that many before me have, never leave when you have plants. Even friends that have experience in growing will F 'em up. I will be sure to plan future grow's around me leaving.

Oh ... IF they survive, my male was bag seed. Really nice sativa.

And a side note to anyone wanting to try breeding ... remove the dusted female from air flow for longer than 30 minutes. All the branches around the one's I dusted have a few seeds in them haha. I'm not complaining since it's just a bunch of lower branches but just a warning to others who might not be happy to have more buds full of seeds.

The plants are still alive! It took a while for them to start drinking again and they have some new big leaves in the buds and new growth down the branches. I've only grown one plant before this so I don't know but I think they are a good 3-4 weeks behind now.

I'm still really embarrassed to take pics of my little Charlie brown trees but I should.

No way man it wasn't your fault put some pics up I'm glad to hear you were able to save them, they are so resilient it's amazing.

I should finish this journal. The plants all finished. It was a low yield but I'm happy they came back at all!

My experiment ended as such. The birth control plant yielded 66.4 grams dry. The control plant yielded 48.9. But, due to the catastrophe I would say I can't provide true results.

My breeding worked fairly well. I got some white seeds, I'm guessing due to the near death of the plants, but also a lot of nice fat dark seeds. I popped a few already for a small winter grow.

Pics, seeds, new grow, and fruits of the last plants. :)
