here are a few up to date pics. they are getting pretty big and we are about to move them into 2 gallon buckets. getting new lights also, any suggestions?
At that size ide move them into a permedent pot. 3 gallons are recomended but i use 7 gallons so my roots can explore. But if you dont have a problem with multiple transplants or you can grow and harvest in a 2 gallon pot then go at it and good luck

Wut up bro, I think the lighting depends on the size pots you go with. If you were growing out of 2-3 gallon pots, a 400 watt hps would be great.....Although, if you want better, fatter, and denser buds go with a 600 watt. A 600 watt would also be great with 5 gal buckets, and alot bigger of a plant.

In my opinion, if you have the money go for a 600watter, 400 watters are better for vegging and 600 is better for flowering. The only problem with vegging under 400 watts is you bill will most likley be between $25 and $40, depending on your photoperiod. With a 600 watter expect to spend at least $30-$35 per month on 12/12. This also depends on your kwh....

Id use CFL'S. because they are very cool compared to MH and HPS and you can put them closer to your plants (inches off of them) and they're cheaper but ide only go with the 105 watt ones which are equivalent to a 500 watt light and give off 6,900 lumens per bulb. They also fit into a regular light fixture unlike a MH or HPS where you would have to buy the expensive lights and fixtures. Get like four of those CFL'S and put them in a duel fixture five inches above your plants and youll have 27,600 lumens makeing your plants grow very quick.

The plants look okay bro, because the stem looks really weak you need to run a fan for sure to strengthen the stem to support bud formation. I would veg with cfls and flower under 400 watt hps.....

yo, new pics for this week, new setup once again, looking like they are doing great. Any input?
Looks like theres a little bit of streching, jus get the lights a closer ( couple inches off ) and top the plant to keep it nice and bushy, Streched plant = more stem, less nodes, less bud. Also, foil lineing contracts heat if heat isnt a problem then its ok but ide go with mylar, more reflective and doesnt contract heat but all in all it looks good, healthy.

Thanks man, the foil isn't really making it hot at all so i think their fine, also i have added four more cfls to make a total of 8 now along with the tube light. The lights are as close to the tops as i can get them. i will put up some new pics soon.

Ok its been 7 weeks and this is what these 6 look like. There had been a problem for the past few days with the leaves wilting a little bit, but I just corrected it today. Water had been staying in the soil and not draining because the holes weren't open on the bottom of the pots :eyesmoke: my bad! but anyway, what do you guys think? I have 3 27watt CFLs and 5 23watt CFLs. They are 1-3 inches from the tops of the plants. Also I have taken some close ups to see if you could tell me the sex yet? This is my first time growing, and I just want to see if I'm doing alright.

Thanks

no signs of sex yet
what stage are you in??? im guessing veg.
when you switch your lights to 12/12 for the flowering stage within a week the sex should start to show on the inter nodes
males have balls and females have fine white hairs

the tallest one is almost 2 feet. I would say the average height is around a foot and a half. They are still in veg - 18/6. Im going to wait a couple more weeks before I begin flowering. Do you think they look healthy?

+ rep for you guys, thanks for the input.
