You can't get simpler than plugging in a light and leaving it on 24hrs.
24 has its benefits like less temperature swings & no timers but personally I've learned my plants don't thrive in 24 hour lighting and are more prone to stress. I don't mind knocking a few bucks off the power bill either.

U must not have much of a life to be arguing the stupidest points u can make.
I agree, the post with the sarcastic "lol" and making fun of the guy making his 1st post on a 10 year old thread. If you can't be supportive or you have something to share that helps other, than why be negative. People depend on these threads to help them. I have used 18/6 on my first 2 grows, I'm 2 weeks in now with 2 autos, and 5 days in on 6 regular seeds and thinking now about changing to 20/4 but not sure if I should make the change over a few days or just change it.

24/7 light shouldnt make your plants more prone to stress. The plant should explode in 24/7 light unless your environment is off. MI basements are never any fun plus the lack of humidity in the winter doesn't help. I have a ton of plants that have stayed under 24/7 light for the past year and have been good. Do you phenohunt and keep moms that aren't prone to issues. I slap them Around randomly break branches and what not to how they respond to stress. I see how they eat. Are they fat girls or skinny girls? I need to know if I need to take them to the buffet or somewhere fancy like apache trout. Their overall structure and junk are all noted before selecting winning moms.

For autos stick the light on 24 hours and let it go. The plants don't care if it's immediate or gradually.

I've been running 24/7 because it's winter and gets too cold if the lights kick off. Once it warms up again I go back to 18/6 and the genetics I have respond better to 18 hours than 24 hours of light.

I suppose every grow is different.

Ethos I’ve ran everything they’ve put out here in the past several years. Pick moms an run with it.
