Barney's doesn't sell Sour Diesel dude, it was my mistake when I wrote that a page or two back. I didn't buy any seeds from Barney's.

These are the kind of responses that concern me, because they sound like bullshit from the beginning.

Still looking great buddy. Can't wait till harvest.

I have been contemplating drying indoors or outdoors as well. I haven't heard of ONA gel so I'll have to check that out. I still live with my family so I have to keep the smell down and I can't have a bunch of nugs stinking up the house. Let me kno what you decide to do or if you have any ideas.

That's cool, I've never use ONA before, but I heard it works well.

Would you recommend the gel or the regular ONA?
i would try the gel first, but if it doesnt work to the capabililty you need it too, go for the regular.

Sorry man, that was your first post and I kinda reacted badly.

I get paranoid because I get some weird PM's and requests sometimes. I got setup years ago, and I'm not going down again....ever.

My Gibberellic Acid experiment failed so far. I've given up on it because it made the one female G13/Haze I sprayed it on act strange. All the branches, from the base to the top, are all arching upwards, now in extreme fashion. I think my mixing ratio was too strong. Very strange. I also should have applied it a few weeks before flowering started, instead of 2 weeks after it started.

You have to dissolve the Gibberellic Acid before you mix it in water, or it'll never mix right.
I choose 1/4 of a shot glass of rubbing alcohol, which worked well, then I mixed it with 28 fluid ounces of water and sprayed 3-4 different times.

I might try it again next year, but next year I'll probably just go with regular breeding of whatever plants I grow with.

I'll be doing a video update in a little bit here.

I'm gonna get some of the ONA deodorizer and buy a deionizer air purifier to put in the closet, and dry 2-3 plants a time until I'm done. I'll probably put a few boxes of Baking Soda in there, just to be sure.

it's been awhile since I stopped by. Great video updates!

Good luck with the indoor drying odor, the ONA will work wonders for you.

I accidentally (seriously) broke off a branch by backing into one of the Sour Diesels. I took it back home with me and fanned dried it very lightly.

I smoked one of these glass hitters: IMG_0004.jpg.....packed with a little bit of what I trimmed, at 6:38.

I feel a little high right now, and it's nice. :-)

I know I'm high and not just spaced on smoking plant parts because I'm already forgetting shit, and wandering around in circles.

This is typical of what you get when you pull a bud really early: an up high, and it'll probably last less than an hour, if that.

These plants have only been in flower 3 weeks, and I'm surprised at how high I am right now. Most especially since the buds weren't dry or cured.

Ok, I'm rambling, another sure sign I'm high...:peace:

Just watered the plants with molasses, plucked some dead leaves, and did some other maintenance around the area.

The Sour Diesel buds are really getting thick and are almost completely covering every stem they're growing on.

The G13/Haze are growing very tall, with lots of bud sites, but much smaller bud development at this point. There are nice bud sites, but no where near as thick and vigorous as the Sour Diesel.

I guess this makes sense, with the G13/Haze having a strong Sativa (Hawaiian Haze) as half of its genetic code. It's funny because the Sour Diesel were supposed to finish much later than the G13/Haze, but it now looks like the reverse may be true.

I've been bringing in extra water for when I have to leave for a business trip for a week and a half. Instead of putting the buckets in the holes I've dug, I decided to fill 10 extra buckets half full of water, and then put the buckets with plants inside the buckets with water in them. Water then filters up into the plant buckets because of all the holes I drilled originally in the plant buckets for drainage.

I experimented with some buckets with dead male roots in dirt, just to see how far the water would filter up, and it gets about 6 or 7 inches up into the root mass. That'll hopefully be good enough for a week and a half.

I'm also going to be putting 1 gallon milk jugs on top of the plants, pricking a few pin holes on the sides, near the bottoms of the jugs, so water slowly leaks out. It's been said that this method will give water for about 6 days using a 1 gallon jug.

Hopefully with these two methods, I'll have enough water for these girls until I get back. It sucks I have to leave, but this trip is unavoidable unfortunately.

No pics or video this go around...the plants look pretty much like they did on Wednesday when I did my last video update.

That's a really interesting link Sam...thank you!

If I were to stay in South Carolina next year, I would definitely look into it.

Bringing water to the plants is easily the hardest part of using buckets, as they dry out really fast. Plus, the roots are exposed to excess heat in the buckets during the summer, which has to have a negative effect.

I'll be moving back to the midwest next year, so my grow there will be directly into the ground.

As I've lamented about ad nauseum, I just couldn't get the clay soil here to work. The drainage is very poor, even if you add soil to a hole. There's just no where for excess water to go when it rains, and water just stews in the holes, suffocating the plants roots.

I'm saving that link though Sam, because you never know, and I like the ingenuity of that design. I have holes just like that for drainage in my Home Depot buckets, and hopefully they'll serve me well with my watering system idea.

Thanks again for the link!
