hello everyone, i made this thread to hear upcoming plans for 2013 mn/wi grow

hope to have my first guerrilla grow this year and interested in what people in my area have had luck with

i am considering growing in swampy areas and would like to hear what others have to say

i my self would say stay to some thing a little ezyer otere then a swamp or swamp like area if possable to lessen the bug problems ur gonna have through this year. i my self am growing in the tree tops this year for something new. but iv had great luck in the pinetree areas seeing as thay stay green for a long ass time and helps hide are babys.

ive been curious about growing in trees but seems like too much work for me i wouldnt be able to water everyday thats why im hoping to go with a moister area, i have been worried about the bugs tho, lots of pines in my swamps ha but most are half dead , will u be climbing your trees or using a pully system?

I used to live in that area... I like the canoe/kayak, river, 5 hr float thing...
Cooler full of cuts... draw yourself a map... jump out ever 30 minutes or so, plant a couple.

I lost 75% of them... someone finds them, deer, i can't find them... but a nice float is great anyway.

Ya thats a really nice way to iv looked in to it never got around to it or im lazy or something lol probly cuz i smoke to much lolol and make things harder then thay need to be :P

i usually walk rivers just to adventure so i was going to do something similar to that ha


and how do you hide your ropes?



also how often do you have to water up in a tree and what size bucket/bag?

seeds just came in

have:

big bang by greenhouse
(skunk x northern lights x el nino)

and

guerrillas gusto by sensi seeds
(these seeds are tiny but not green do you think they will have a bad germ rate??)

i noticed that most of the freebies were also smaller seeds compared to the big bang seeds that look big healthy and striped.

i plan on buying lots of peat/sphagnum moss and potting soil + worm castings , bone meal, and some lime.

would that make good soil? and i dont plan on visiting them much so would they thrive mostly on their own?

in some areas i want to plant the native soil is mostly clay.


any advice/tips would be great.

and i would also like to hear more of what others are doing in my area

Definatly try grrowin on higher ground once that rainy season came my girls drowned and use some manure in your soil as well and make sure they get plenty of sun

As a rookie (me)yes,for sure go higher ground! I had a few nice plants that I had to walk to,then it rained and rained.i ended up being able to boat over them....
As far as the post nice to hear from some snow land growers! No big plans here this year,just a couple in my yard.might try some major training and see what I can get along the lawn,and also have a major cavity in a tree I migh try and utilize just for fun!

what kind of manure do you suggest?

and i guess if we have anouther hurricane like storm like we had last year i could see them downing easily ha

i think if it is a normal summer up here i should be good i wont be growing actually in the swamp just near the edge of it just were the soil is moist down a foot or so

Funny.

Stay away from the St. Croix area period, anywhere from Hastings to St. Croix Falls there will be tons of projects in many of the remote areas on both sides of the river this summer, and both MN and WI are going to do large scale grow searches of many of the state forests in 2013, particularly on the MN side east of Pine City and Sandstone. How do I know? A good friend in the MN DNR who works full-time in that region participates in searches with LE. Winona up tp Red Wing is much safer.

i ordered a pack of 10 reg guerrillas gusto from attitude bred by sensi

all the seeds in the pack are tiny like 1/8th the size of what i would call a normal healthy looking seed.

will they germ or should i try to send them back and get replacements ??

they are all brown colored

Seed size is meaningless. Unless it is small and soft it's not an issue. Some of my largest plants have come from tiny seeds. Brown is good, check if they are hard, if so they are good.

Like [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Rancho said they should be fine and dandy. My best bud ordered some White Widow seeds a few years back. Things were tiny and almost white. Barely looked like MJ seeds. He thought he got ripped off. He germed em after contacting the distributor and sure enough the little guys popped and were sprouting in 24 hours. Not a single one of them were bad out of 15. He tossed em in peat pellets to germ them. They were tiny so he didn't want to do the paper towel or glass of water thing to risk snapping a small taproot. Those were the most spoiled and cared for girls I have EVER seen in my entire life lol.

ill be waiting a little while to find out still though so its going to bug me until i actually do it ha

thanks for the good words

hopefuly soon i will be able to germ a couple of beans and try to get a good mother ..

but i might not be able to do that not sure yet.

id like to have both clones and seedlings to see what i like better but i guess i always will have time to experiment in the future.



is it reasonable to expect decent yeilds from a plant left to grow on its own most if not all of its life?

i will try to check on them a few times but i dont want to risk them being found

if i dig a deeper hole like 2 1/2ft x 4 maybe would that help them stay hydrated?

the cavity in your tree sounds interesting how big is it?

MAYBE somehow the marijuana could tap into the tree's watersource through the tree

i know there are other plants that can do stuff like that i think witches broom?

what sorta strains will you be growing up here??

The cavity is big enough for a 5 gal bucket,and is about 12' off the ground.the tree is huge and old,but is bushy where the plant would be,lots of sun!
Not sure what I'm going to play with outdoors this year.i have some Anesthesia and Jack hammer seeds from Sannies I might use,otherwise ill just play with some random seeds..
