I love the taste of rosin but i couldnt get enough yield. So trim gets qwiso treatment this weekend. That oil works good in the Kandyvape.

But rosin wow does that taste nice. When my indoor is dry enough i will see if it presses better. I think i am still in a learning curve or i need way better product to press.

The indoor has better trich coverage than the outdoor did. Sour D Rosin sounds pretty damned tasty

Can you get say 3 mason jars with trim and such then fill one with the 99% ipa shake for a couple minutes and pour into the next shake for 2 minutes into the next then strain?

Then do a second pass the same idea with new ipa?

It would be a lot less evaporating.

Any reviews on the Rosinbomb rocket or whatever it’s called.
Have a guy wants to trade for some bud.
It’s $749 on the Internet and I can get it for about 50 bucks . Well 4 ounces which probably cost me 40-50 bucks.
I don't like for several reasons. The plates aren't thick enough....those could bend. I've seen that happen on another unit with thin plates like those. If those plates are stainless and not aluminium then it may be ok for the power it has.
The other reason......I prefer the manual pump. You get more feel for the amount of squish you want at that moment of heating. It's kind of feel for it thing.
I like the size though. I use a small but very powerful stainless one. Works great!
I have NOT seen that unit personally.

Why not..trade him for that deal...I would
Just waiting on his reply. I’ll post a pic if he actually trades.
I hear ya on the bent plates as I YouTube it. Read that in a comment. If he does I’ll make sure the plates aren’t bent and meet each other flat.

If they're stainless they may be fine. When you press a bag it put pressure on the area it's pushing against. I've seen 1.5 inch aluminum plates bend. I'd like to see more support on those than they seem to have.
The price is right though. It's kinda starter level or a bit above. Turn key is a nice part of it.

It is the hyper bais marie. It is almost done :D crazy eh. The last bit will take a while

alcohol evaps at 173 so if you keep putting in 212F water and swap it out it is faster than just evap. And I cant find my damned heating pad.

I also have a handy BBQ chicken tip. You heat up your bbq and then turn off one side and cook your chicken on that off side. Flip the chicken every 10 minutes on to the hot side and then turn the burner on that had the chicken and turn off the one you just put it on.

Your chicken will not flare and it gets the char more than a complete indirect method. :D

It is the hyper indirect heat method.

Definitely safer than using an electric heat element.
A lot longer but safer.

an oil bath will save you from over heating and evap issues.
Better heat control as well.
The hotter you make your batch ... the worse the taste will be.

doin things cold with a vac pump makes it golden and very tasteful.

evaporating at room temp,,no matter how long,, will see residual solvent left in the oil.

Then I use cofffe filter for the second strain.

As you can see all the setement is caked to the sides of filter which gives me a very clean product at the end.

Can I put a lid on these bottles and put them in fridge and if so how long will they last before I should cook it? Sometimes I motivated to get some oil done, but by the time I get it all filtered I’m :wall: and still have to watch it cook for another 3-4 hours. My rice cooker is only so big so multiple batches .

green turns my stomach when I ingest.
a Stainless Steel Strainer works better and is cleaner than cheese cloth. You are double filtering it after anyway.
once it has been filtered it can sit in the fridge or even out indefinitely.
In the sun will see that green go away ;)

there is ZERO WRONG with how you are doing it.

As long as ya purge it ...its awesome meds.

Well when I cook it in the cooker I can watch all the iso bubble off to the point where it’s just completely black oil.
Then I leave it on the coffee maker all night which I’m 100% sure at that point all alcohol has evaded away. I hope that’s correct lol.

If the jar is sealed it should last indefinitely. I agree with GB, the color is a bit green. How long do you wash for. I find 3 minutes gives me a lovely golden color like diluted pee. Makes really nice golden or amber colored oil.
