***Feel free to comment and barf all over this thread***

I figured I'd post my 2021 outdoor here. This first post will get the thread up to date from the beginning. I have 6 plants growing in a raised bed that is really a little too tight for the size the plants are getting.

I have a cloning habit. Even though I have no more room to populate plants in my indoor, I have a hard time throwing away viable cuttings when I trim my mothers, so I end up making a lot of excess clones. I try to give them away to whoever will take them, but I've only got a few grow friends, and they're filled up now too.

Last year I sprouted a bunch seeds of various types, kept the best Afghani landrace male and Sannie's Triple Pakistani male, gave away all but 9 females, dusted the 9 females with the males before offing him, and then kept cuts off of the best 4 females for mothers.

I had 5 extra Motherlode Kush clones. This came from seeds acquired at sanniesshop.com. Some of my very first grows were Sannie's stuff, and I've been getting stuff from him for quite a while now. I call this one MLK4, as it was tagged #4 out of 10 sprouted of this type. It has a very interesting aroma like when you open a bag of Fruity Pebbles or Froot Loops and take a big whiff, that mixed with a hashy kushy aroma. It was the only one with that aroma. It's very resinous. When I was doing some trimming on the plants the other day, still in veg, my arms got all sticky.

The 6th plant is a volunteer that sprouted up early in the raised bed. I'm not sure which female it came from, but they were all pretty dank. Based on its location in the bed, it either came from Sannie's Sour Kush or from Habiba acquired at amsterdammarijuanaseeds.com. Either way, I'm excited to see what comes from it. It has been a super vigorous plant. It sprouted very early in mid March, stayed like a tiny seedling in the cold for a month, started veging hard in April, and showed pistils after a few weeks, so I kept it going. If I keep a clone going off of this it will be called Voluntary Kush (VK)

I prepped the bed by mixing in kitchen scrap compost, diatomaceous earth, and extreme mykos and azos.

March 17th I found the volunteer when cleaning weeds to prep the raised bed

I had some clones going but didn't have places to use all of them

May 18: MLK4's have started to flower because days were still short when they went outside after being in 24/0 clone and early veg indoors. VK was unphased by length of daytime. I previously topped VK back to 4th node and fimmed new growth.

June 5th: added some stakes to start spreading stuff out. Notice the 3-bladed reveg growth on the MLK4. It normally has 5 blades. You can see the MLK4 is starting to bush. I have not topped that at all. It just has that growth structure to it. By now, I realize the VK is going to be a beast.

June 28th: plants are getting close to top of fence. Neighbor on that side is cool though. He's got my clones in his setup. I've topped the VK multiple times by now. It's going to have a bunch of tops on it. The MLK4 has not been topped, and I just started bending it over onto stakes. I cleaned up the lower 10"-12". The VK has a thick trunk. By now I've started applying neem and spinosad as weekly preventative maintenance. There are a lot of bug pests here.

July 10th: Got more 8' stakes to spread stuff out better. I've started supplementing nutrients in the past 2 weeks. Up until then they were just running on the kitchen scrap compost that was tilled into the bed back in March when I found the VK. The VK is preflowering hard.

That really looks great! Wish I could do that here but they would be so full of seeds. My friend does outdoor. Always gets seeds. Just too many people breeding outside without any consideration of their neighbors.

Yeah I know. I'm a culprit. If I get a decent male, I dust my outdoor with it in the first week of flower before burying it in the compost barrel.

I would do it also but I know for fact my neighbors have outdoor grows plus my next freaking door neighbor is making seeds just over my fence. I'd hate to contaminate my project with his crap. They just bought the house 6 months ago and have already proven themselves to be "problem" neighbors. I thought about using my Mom-in-laws's house since she has a card but they have a friend/neighbor across the street that grows outdoors and he already gets enough seeds in his buds every year. Ive got this extra unused light maybe I can setup in her garage. I've got 6 different strains of Anesia Seeds that I would love to make seeds with and not have that expense every year.

Yeah, I've thought about that. I'll probably modify the bed for next year. Theres a strip right there that gets good sunlight all day long, so I'm trying to take as much advantage as I can. It gets like 3hrs more direct sunlight than any other part of the yard.

This is another one i've got in a 5gal cloth pot. It's a clone off of a cross I made with last year's Widow Bomb from Bomb Seeds (WB1) and a male landrace kush. A friend finished out the mom this came from, and he said it was decent smoke, but foxtails and not so spectacular to be preserved as a mom, so I'm training it out to flower outdoor. It's got a lanky stretchy growth structure like the female that made its seed.

One week since last post. I've been cutting tops off as they make it too far above the fence and using garden stakes to bend over and spread out the plants. Everything is growing like crazy. I've been having some lower leaves showing yellowing that I think is N def, so I've been sprinkling MaxiGrow and other supplements on top when I water. They seem to be responding well.
