The plants in the ground get full sun all day. They've been growing like crazy. I keep having to trim back the branches that get too tall. The one in the fabric pot was sucking up water fast. I've kept it on the porch under the partial shade of lattice during the day, and I take it in under a SUNRAISE qb2000 (also @Marq1340 deal) all night. When the outside girls start to flower, it'll stay outside in the full sun with them.

Those things are freaky. They spend 1,7,9, or up to 13 years in the ground, dig their way out to molt into the creepiest sounding thing on the planet. Funny that they are absolutely no threat to anything. They don't even have a mouth.
They have a proboscis spike thing they use to suck sap. Too many of them can be damaging, but in small amounts, they're not too bad.

I've seen stink bugs and squash bugs with similar shape but different color patterns. This is the first time I've seen that color pattern.
We had a few days near 100F. They get direct sun from about 8am til 730pm. They're getting the full sun during the hottest part off the day. It's weird that the symptoms just showed up in the last few days though. We had some hot days near 100F a few weeks back. They looked healthy all the way through, but they weren't as far into flower mode then either.

You can imagine, I'm inspecting those multiple times every day....swatting at the little lepidoptera like a crazy man! Hahaha!
Preventative maintenance every 1 to 2 weeks since sprouting with neem, BT, and spinosad spray and root drench. Mosquito bits in the soil.
