Hey @p59teitel ... thinking of pollination, been windy but it's died down.
‘Tis the season, I started hitting the Sholgar girls with Sholgar boy batter 10 days ago and am already seeing beans. I’m liking this strain a lot already.

Hit the Waziri Repros too. Making Rustam Kush x Waziri and Rustam Kush x Sholgar crosses as well. Rustam Kush FINALLY sprouting multiple stigma at flower sites, damn slowpoke lol

It’s the obsessive compulsive time of year, when you wake up in the middle of the night wondering what’s going on in your garden.

Sholgar 3 - already getting sticky, sweet melon smell, this is the plant I fucked up by accidentally topping. Should still get a decent amount off her. The cuttings I took from that error wouldn’t come out of flower so I just let them sprout some more hairs, then clipped the baby budlets off and dried them for a couple of weeks. Obviously undercured so they smell like dried grass and the smoke is raspy, but the effects are really nice - uplifting but not zippy. Has some strength to it too.

Waziri Repros getting it done too, like the bract size at this early point, smell is piney but starting to add some darker scents -

Getting there! Just have to keep a lookout to the weather and any of the usual plagues popping up lol
Ok, I've got a real dilemma here and I could use some help. Still don't know why my cam won't do red colors. Anyway, these two plants popped seed April 16th. They budded faster and fatter than my other plants which are still skinny. Checked today and they are absolutely loaded, LOADED, with amber trichomes. The problem is, also loaded with white pistils. Some are turning reddish brown, but here's some pics. Do I pull these now before total couchlock, or let them go? Here's some pics, a scoped pic, the amber won't show. I had my girlfriend check too, to make sure I wasn't crazy. She said, 'yep, there's a ton of amber in there.'

Hmmm… If I was making the judgement on the branch photos, I’d say let’m go a while longer. The scope photos clarity aren‘t definitive enough to me, I guess cuz you can’t see the amber as you noted, also correct me if I’m wrong but I think I see a few clear trich’s in there when I blow up the scope photos too.

Yes , I almost didn't post them because they aren't representative of the full actual condition. What may show up as slightly brown could be the reds, but there are many many vibrant red trichomes. There are some clear ones, mostly on one side away from the sun. Will try to get better pics. I'm gonna keep my eye on them the next couple days... pollinate the one lower branch I left for that purpose. But in my heart, I feel she's gonna, gotta come down soon. Thanks for the response, I wish the pictures were more accurate.

Here’s my two cents. Took the liberty of screenshooting one of your scoped pics and marking it up -

4A4AC6E1-6999-4CB6-B37B-A67B4A5F0337.jpeg

So within the black circle is half of a bract with a ton of clear trichomes still on it (the sun makes it impossible to examine the rest of the bract). Within the blue circle is one of the two reddish brown stigma coming out of the bract.

I always go with the trichomes I see on bracts and sugar leaves immediately adjacent to the bracts, and look for around 20% to 25% to be amber. So I’d say you’ve got a week and maybe two to go.

Ok, I took a few better pics. Still can't see the amber like you can with the naked eye, but in these scope shots, the ones that look slightly brown or dark are amber. Gonna try wife's iphone later.
in the 3rd pix from top, you can clearly see the ones that are dark, those are amber....20220902_170128.jpg20220902_170144.jpg20220902_170221.jpg20220902_170059.jpg20220902_170403.jpg

Are you already getting ambers on a photo plant?

I'm just getting past the popcorn phase with my four GMO :(

Loaded with ambers and big colas already on just these two in Alpha patch. These were in shade half the day, planted with all others. The other girls have, as you say, popcorn buds on some skinny branches. I think the heat and the strain had a lot to do with it. But they are far more advanced than the others. Red for some reason doesn't show on my phone, so the trikes that look dark or light brown are all amber. Gonna let them ride for a bit and see what happens.

These plants may be excellent candidates for a split harvest. Chop the main colas when you get down to only a small percent of clear triches. Then let the bottom half fatten up. Once the first set of tops come off the new sets of tops may develop into another set of full colas given enough time and good conditions.
