The Twenty20 Mendocino freebie Sparkle Face from North Atlantic came down this week. Grown in largely local soil with some horse manure compost and peat moss. Threw a couple handfuls of Dr Earths and Dr Earths compost teas at it later into veg as well but otherwise nothing special. Probably saw an average of 5 hours of direct sunlight a day. An average yielder however I topped it and was moderate with removing her inners so food for thought. Buds are on the leafier side as well with average density - good news though is it is definitely the frostiest plant out of the six I grew this year. Smell is definitely melon, and similar in smell strength to cutting open an actual cantaloupe - milder not overpowering but pleasant. Had some mites for a couple weeks there in veg but managed it and otherwise had no other pest pressures, no bud rot either but this year has been pretty easy on bud rot so far in general. Have to figure the purple colors are temperature based as well as it, it's been 30's/40's F here at night quite often and she shrugged it off.

Gotta say, I love North Atlantic, have had nothing but good luck with them. Did some crossing of my own this year, and made some contacts with breeders to work as a tester, don't think I'll be buying seeds for a while. However, sometimes something will catch your eye and like the raccoon that sees something shiny, ya just gotta try it. Nice job with the sparkleface, I love outdoor simple grows.
On another note, @p59teitel, I am so excited and grateful for your tutelage this year, and @Michi as well. I was able to cross breed my best plants with a very strong male Cheesequake this year, and while not done taking down plants yet, have found several buds that I had carefully paintbrushed with pollen I'd collected with methods taught to me here in this very thread. So grateful and happy.20221026_140709.jpg

My White Widow from this season. This girl is one of a handful of seeds I was fortunate enough to collect from a very late season 2020 harvest. She is
my favorite variety to date, as well as all of my friends favorite.

She is SPOT-ON for the original in look, smell, and effect, and thus I suspect a possible end-of-life stressed self-pollination?

She is still in ground not completely harvested, so I am going to take a ton of cuttings in an attempt to clone her.

Any words of wisdom/tips for cloning?

PVOG, glad the seed-making tips worked for you. Currently chopping the third of the four Waziri Repros. I’m doing a rough trim in place for everything but the lowest branches -

Then after a quick preliminary dip in a bucket they get a Cervantes bath with two cups of peroxide and ten gallons or so of water -

Then after I whip them around like I’m flogging galley slaves to get rid of most of the water, its off to the clothesline to drip-dry. The Minister of State Security looks on approvingly in the background -

Pretty pleased with the quantity of production and quality of resin, guessing I will pull the equivalent of 5-6 lbs of finished flower (most will go into the garage rafters to dry for dry-sift hash this winter) -

Took the last Rustam Kush down on Friday, she was close enough and I wasn’t going to push her through another storm. Rough trimmed her while still standing. Some gaps on the colas from rot removal; this strain is late-flowering and I could have done a better job spraying.

So that’s a wrap on the grow this year (other than trim jail and burping jars, then dry sifting in mid winter). Jarred 10 oz of Sholgar yesterday, and it’s on to the Wall of Waziri today -

Clone her and then dig up the root ball. I would knock off a good amount of the field soil and then plant in a container with potting mix or Promix.
Keep a fair amount of the leaves and then put under a low propagation light until she starts to reveg.

You are leaving a lot of leaf on them, definitely find a better strain for next year..looks like a nightmare to trim

No Blue Satellite was mentioned. This is supposed to be Iranian Early Flower BX2. I also grew the one variety of OGOG with the Erdpurt Though. It's to the left in the one photo. Started out slow but now outgrowing the fence like everything else.
I’m not going through 30 pages to see if thisgot clarified but OGS had a Blue Satelite 2.2 male he hit to a C99 and he listed the Iranian BX2 as having BS 2.2, which means he outcrossed the Iranian to the Blue before doing the BX1, this gave him the male to
Make the Bx1.

I’m heavily invested in the BS2.2 as I too have worked it (my bs2.2 male has mated with: GG4, Gods Gift, Apollo 11, Double Purp Doja, Alaskan Thunder Fuck, DJ Short indica Blueberry, Exodus Cheese and I used it to make my Strawberry Cough BX1) I picked up the early Iranian to breed with my Blueberry x Blue Satellite 2.2 F2 cross.
