the box seems to be running 3-5* cooler without the fan on the inside.

interesting...
that's interesting... it might have to do with where your fans are pointing maybe? i'm pointing mine straight at the cfls, and i *think* it's brining temps down by a deg or 2. ideally i think i would want to aim the fan *up* at the cfl's, so the hot air goes up instead of sideways/down toward the plants, but can't quite arrange it in my box that way.
You're right in the sense, there homer. I've tinkered a lot with this and have come to several conclusions. one being, yes you can aim fans at the CFL and it WILL lower the temps @ the bulb about 2-5 degrees depending on fan, and push power. Secondly, by doing this, i've found that it raised total ambient temperature about the same degrees in the whole room. I think this idea would work great if you need to get your CFLs closer, without doing a whole lot of damage. Make sense?

Another thing i looked at was air pressures. For you to have a good 70-75* temps in any room, you need the right amount of negative and positive pressures working in constant harmony. Ideally, you want a tad more exhaust than intake. But have a wider intake than your exhaust. Am i still making sense? Correct any of this if i'm wrong. But i do a LOT of my tinkering by trial and error with what i see.

In another room.. Those are looking nice homer! Plant 3 is a cute lil' fucker ain't she? about 7, maybe 8 inches tall? Adorable.

just went to the store and picked up some Blackstrap molasses and will probably feed plant 2. 1/2 part flower nutes and 1/2 molasses. Anyone know how much I should do?

also just got a 140cm fan 16dBa and 60CFM for outake and gonna move one of the outake inside of the box i think not sure yet

Hey man what's goin on??? I was droppin by to say what's up everything looks good right now bro keep up the good work. Any way you could fit a few more cfl's in there?? I have pics in my sig of my old closet grow that was around 290w each time, white rhino and sharksbreath were massive. Every extra light can only help, but anyways....for the molasses, I would generally do about 1 tablespoon at the max if it's your first time using it, and even probably 1/4th strength(absolute max) of w/e the nutes say on the label. Then if you don't experience problems you can work your way up little by little

Yes I could fit in more lights but I like my temperatures where they are and the lights are placed well right now. Even just added another reflective light over plant 1 instead of a light hanging from side, should reduce that heat stress.

As for the molasses I think im gonna do a little under a tsp/gallon and also a little bit of some flower nutes next time cause they got flushed last time.

....wait maybe more molasses like 1/2 a tbspn

yep....adding 1/2 tbspn per gallon should work out nicely, molasses isn't very strong so as long as your not an idiot it's hard to burn your plants with it, just make sure its unsulphured molasses

its blackstrap molasses, heard its the best, they'll be getting it tomorrow. ill update the thread with pics on wednesday then.

I'm just too high to read this whole thing and I just looked at this thread for the first time.... Did you do any trimming/pruning/topping? I'm trying to get a better feel for how to shape a plant for my first time so I can maximize a space. Some are so bushy...some have the one shoot tall with a bush at the bottom...some have two tall shoots and that's it.... CONFUSING!!!!

AWESOME plants by the way too :) These are what I'd like my first ones to look like, size and shape, so I thought I'd ask. Well done my man.

Next grow im going to reveg one of my plants or grow from seed, depends on if I buy from a seedbank. Im going to try uncle ben's tecnique and then scrog from that. Which is putting a screen and weaving the plant through it so its all even

Also I tied my plants down in one spot and Plant 1 I later tied down the lower chutes to open up the middle.

hahahah I was thinking about doing a perpetual grow. either 1 plants every 2 weeks or 2 plants every 4 weeks. With 2 month veg and 2 month flower.

2 month vegg!! Sounds awesome!! Huge yields is what you are talkign about and thats what I'm "talkin" bout son!! lol

Might as well go 2 every 4 weeks that way you will have enough smoke to last you 2 months of flowering once you first start up but once you get it going like you want you will have more than you know what to do with!! may have to share the wealth a lil (wink wink)lol

Im about to order seeds and as a freebie I get an autoflower strain and says about 7 weeks start to finish. that yield will be perfect for the wait hahaha

I was thinking about getting

Barney's Farm LSD
G13 Lab's Blue Venom

and 1 more, not sure which.

Anyone have suggestions on a strain?

I have no comments on strain there are so many factors there but I have a perpetual harvest scenario, my favorite grow style is SOG which is amazingly easy to maintain perpetual harvest with.

The strain I'm looking for is something that flowers way more indica. I like the indica growing style way more for my conditions and space.

What size pots do you use? and how long do you veg your SOG? or do you throw them into flower after root.

Plant 1 and 3 got flower nutrients and plant 2 got 2/3flower and half molasses.

Plant 1 (Kinda does whateva it wants, seemed to put on a little side. I like how far the hairs are going down its branches though, same with plannt 3 but pics came out blurry)

Plant 2 (The smell has that pure pinelike weed smell. The yellowing of the undergrowth has slowed for now ever since those veg nutes and my humidity has been way better with all the snow melting outside)

dinner 017.jpgdinner 011.jpgdinner 018.jpgdinner 019.jpgdinner 010.jpgdinner 009.jpgdinner 021.jpg

Plant 3 (Its starting to flower more but still hasn't been all that fast, smell is funky. Mix of that pine and a strong skunk smell)

Any suggestions or comments? tried to get a ruler in there for height comparison

Some people show their pets, here mine that snuck in by me. Name is Wrigley.
Probably shyest thing in the world.

There it is again. The infamous Barneys farm LSD. I know that the LSD is indica dominant plant. It's going to be my next choice for strains in my next grow.

Babies are looking beautiful by the way, GD.

I haven't heard all that much about the strain, just saw it once and wanted it and the growing height and stuff seemed good. Blue venom is blueberryXwidow.

thanks about the plants
