18/6 works better for me too.

btw. am using smart plugs since 6 months in constant use and didnt had a problem.
their timing is pretty precise which is usefull if you have several channels,
also their power readings are handy and you can check if your far red went of if youre not at home.

Dope. What are you using? I'm a fan of the TP-Link/Kasa stuff. They have an out of the box integration with Sense (see previous screenshot.)

I've vegged photos on 24/7 for 6 weeks before flipping to 12/12 flower.

Not a good idea and no increase in yield.

Just a bigger electric bill.

For me a week on 24/7 after sprouting then 18/6 for 5 weeks then flower 13D/11L.

Been growing a long time and this works for me. Grow my own and my jars are always full.

I'm using the good old faithful HPS by the way, switched back to HPS fully about 2 years ago after using LED only and also a mixture of LED/HPS but now only HPS going forward.

Was this being sarcastic ? Of course they grow at night. Ive been on rollitup for YEARS an that almost has to be the dumbest thing i ever read on here and thuis is ROLLITUP! where ALL the shitty info comes from. No offense guys , all the good info comes from here too. We have the smartest growers in the world on this site.
Its cool , i think humans stop growing in the dark too.......on the flat earth.

Well, then, this is what I must know....

If my plants recover after giving it rest / sleep / dark period, then does that mean the plants were getting too much light?? That is the question I need answered. If I can know the plants are simply getting too much light, I will feel better. I just feel like it could be a nutrient problem ...???
Too much light/not enough light are hand in hand with nutes. More light =more food. I have to ageree with you... if your feeding 1.2 then up it to 1.6 an see how it goes. It seems to me like you have more usable light then my veg AND your in perlite with zero food , so yea try to up your food , that has to be the only thing were missing here. Now you got my ocd kicked in....im here to the end.

now i'm confused. are you being sarcastic? growth requires light. my daughter just learned that in 2nd grade.

Does anyone run autos 24/0? I know most people say 18/6 but I’m scared of the spikes on the bill :(
There is not much of a "spike" in a veg room. How many watts in your veg ? a 1k veg would cost me 63 cents for 6 hours of light. I guess that does add up to about 20 bucks per month an my electricty is cheaper then most.

photosynthesis requires light*
Light is just one of many things needed for plant to grow. im not a rocket applience but im positive that plants grow 24-7. You can actually see it with the naked eye.
hahaha. growth only happens during photosynthesis. plants do things during the dark cycle but grow is not one of them.

maybe you are confusing plant cells elongating (stretching) towards the last light source? that's not growth.

So you are telling me that you have never seen a plant grow overnight ?? Not even on your first grow ? i dont break out the tape either but i think we all did when we first started.... Yes the plant grows at night. break out your tape measure an teach your girl real world stuff that they cannot teach apparently.
Your right, praying leaves is not growth but the tape measure dont lie. I think you are taking something her teacher said wrong.

i've seen plants stretch overnight. like when lights go to 12/12, they stretch towards the last known light source.

you are wasting lots of money on lights and electricity since plants grow in the dark. you should try 8/16 or 4/20 for veg and see what happens.
