On a 60x60x160 tent would a 300W Meizhi suffice or would I need to get the 600W?

Thanks

So um.. nobody answered the wattage question. I have a 400w HPS in an area about that size. It's pretty good but I could switch up to a 600w easily. 300 seems kind of weak to me unless you are doing few or small plants, have heat concerns, etc. 300w and a tippy top environment, or 600w and some forgiveness (except for heat!). (disclaimer: newbie advice)

I'm running a 600W hps in a 2x4x5 tent. I cant close it without the heat skyrocketing but the extra light is providing the necessary forgiveness and I got two babies growing nicely. Just lowered it a few inches, actually.

The only thing seems to be like the humidity gets zapped out of the air so sometime I put a bowl of water under the light to compensate. Works like a charm.

*Edit: previously put 2x2x4...no idea why hahahha

Hey guys, I'm new and was looking for a post that would help me along, I've been looking into lights and my buddy says unitfarms are great but after researching (mainly here) I've come to the realization that I want COB's or strips. I would like the best price available of course. I'm looking into doing a 3x3 tent scrog but I have a few questions. 1 do I need separate lights for veg and flower? or can 1 light do it all? 2 how many watts per sq ft should I be after for veg and bloom? Sorry in advance for being a noob lol.

Buy an air cooled reflector . Not a cooltube but a hood. Incredible temperature difference.

Still need to get the inline fan and ducts haha right now I've got two 20" box fans circulating air and I keep the door open.

I actually just made a post asking for fan recommendations. Once I get that settled I can focus on buying a more legit hood. I like the ones with the glass covers, they're nice and only in the $80 range.

I have one with a 600 HPS in it. You can put bud right up under it. Love it. 6" everything.

UPDATE;

After some research I decided to ditch the Meizhi and I bought a 100W COB. I’ve been told I will only get one plant in my tent as it’s a little on the small side.

With that being said as it’s my first ever grow I will practice on one plant for a while till I know the “ins and outs”.

The one thing I’m struggling with now is wether to go for soil or hydroponics, and the pot sizes etc.

If anyone would like to share some info I’d massively appreciate it.
