400 Watt HPS distance

18 inches for a 400 watt HPS and 24 inches for a 600 watt is the perfect distance, or 21 inches for a 600watt I can't remember lol but I know 18 inches is the perfect distance for a 400 watt as long as you have a decent carbon filter and a couple of fans

Idk the exact height but my se 1000w parabolic with a vertical bulb
can get almost half the distance of my 1000w de parabolic horizontal orientation... I boobed buying the de tbh.

i know its old thread , i do 6-8 " from 400 hps cooled with ac on in the room, without problems it seems that she like the extra light
