400 Watt HPS FRIDGE GROW, LOOK AT THIS: PICTURES GALORE, leave comments !!

Hello again everyone.

I have moved the rack up one level inside the fridge to increase the ammount of light that is getting to the main plant by bringing her closer to the light, each level is 6 inches apart from each other.

The top of the plant is exactly 12 inches away from the 400 WATT HPS light in the freezer now and I still have 2 levels, which is: 12 inches left for growth.

I think that I should grow her another 6 inches, and then throw her into flower hoping that she doesn't grow above the 12 inch extra height capp.

I want to finish the plant off at a total of 18 inches for all of the budsites.

This plant is actually 21 inches tall from base to top, but LST'D to 9 inches.

Does anybody think that I should use a SCREEN OF GREEN METHOD ??

WILL THIS METHOD INCREASE MY YIELD ??

I am seriously considering it because the set-up/ light coverage seems to be perfect, from what I have read.

Look at how the bud-sites are forming around the main cola, they are all thick and looking like they could put out some serious bud.

The other bud-sites are all growing like wild-fire.

I think that I might have grown her nodes too close to each other, The budsites already look crowded.

Maby LST wasn't the best option for this strain, but we will see as the days go-on.
That is the reason why I am thinking about SCROG. (maximizing light coverage).

I was trying to move my leads to the tops of one of the branches and one of them broke off under the stress, only about 2 and 1/2 inches, but What are you gonna do right, it will heal itself, it's a weed afterall.
I threw it in a jiffy puck and if it grows roots great, if not what ever.

closetgrowth, thanks, i'm glad you like the fridge.
Everything seems to be going pro. This grow unit will probably be around for quite a while. There is no way that i would choose to get rid of it, under normal circumstances anyway.

Dropastone, Thanks for stopping by, I am glad you like the fridge, it seems to be what I am hearing alot lately.. Yeah a mini fridge would work excellent for clones or seedlings..


Drewsb420, That is what I was telling you before.
This thing is going to be a monster.
I think that I will have to take a bunch of clones from her before I throw her into flower just so that I have enough room for all of the colas that she is going to produce.
There are easily going to be 100 colas from this one plant.
It is so dense in there it isn't even funny.
I agree that I might run out of room when she starts to develop flowers.
That is why I was thinking SCROG.
That way I would be able to tie each of the buds to the screen for an evenly spaced canopy (hopefully).

Nice grow man, the plant looks MAD HEALTHY.

I have a broken fridge in my basement, I thought about using it to grow my next plants but it never materialized... You convinced me !

BlackBuddha, I'm glad I was able to assist you in making the decision to use your old fridge as a Grow-Frigerator.
The plant is really healthy.
I am only using Advanced Nutrients, Iguana Juice: Grow during VEG.
During flower I also only use Advanced Nutrients, Iguana Juice: Bloom.
I have also been intentionally over feeding the plant, due to it's age and the amount of growth that I am trying to achieve.
I used to go by the advanced nutrients, nutrient calculator: http://www.advancednutrients.com/nutcalc3public/
I use 10 Liters of water and 35 ml of Advanced Nutrients, Iguana Juice: Grow, with no negative side effects or nutrient burn.
This is double the recommended dose.

love this jounal im subbed for it. i think the screen idea is a good idea. and always expect your plant to tru=iple in size when flowered. just to be safe. man it took me forever to find this thread the link didnt work so i used the search bar and that wouldnt come up with it so i had to scan all threads but glad i found it. also she may have a 100 bud sites but that doesnt mean it will produce alot. the main tips will produce the most and by the pics it looks like u will have mabye 30 main tops if that but alot of lower branches. i only know this cuz my plants were much bigger and they only have 40-50 main tips with about 30 more under neith the canopy and i did alot of lst to these girls. but either way she is gonna be a beuty

Thanks for stopping by to take a look, I'm glad you have enjoyed my Grow-Frigerator.
I think that I am going to go with a scrog method for sure, but i am having technical difficulties with finding the right screen !!
Chicken wire, snow fence etc.
Fishing line sounds too risky, I'd hate to accidentally cut off one of my buds half way through flower.
