Nice setup, bro. I've been thinkin about how to setup my fridge as a cool box and grow in low temps. seen some crazy colored bud come from 55 temps. I'm just skeptical cuz refrigerators cause moisture. Im not sure if I want to expose my bulb, fixture and hood to that... maybe I can test running the thing on low temps to test humidity...

I would totally gut mine like you did, its just hard for me to part with working machines.....
prob gonna find a junk o fridge...

If i do that, i'm gonna look for a side-by-side and take out the wall in the middle to use the entire width of the fridge.... ok im stoned and rambling.... later dude

Hes probably sitting next to his god fridge and drooling over that babe! hey , i would too lol extremely nice grow = D you should bring the computer next to the fridge and type updates why you drool lol . yeah , but seriously i would like an update.

This here is super sick!!! I've pulled up my chair! Im getting ready to build a fridge setup simular to yours! Im useing a fridge with the freezer on top, fridge on the bottom with a 250 watt cool tube. i plant on doing only 2 plants at a time, but Im going to either scrog or lst and super crop. I like your idea of just useing a regular fan and location of the intake. How do you deal with odor without a carbon filter? Ive been waiting years to do this and now im moving in to a house with a big garage, so I figured I would give it a try and put it in there. good luck with everything going there!

I have been thinking of doing one for a few years I just never had a need to because I have always had a cold room that I had used to grow in. So I looked around for a few days for a fridge in the newspaper and on craigslist you know. I was on a mission to find me a fridge so that I did not have to throw or give away my 4 month old babies seeing how I was moving into a two bedroom apartment. No luck finding a fridge for the first two days and then I remembered that my uncle had a one year old fridge that crapped out on him and he just wanted it thrown out. So I called him up, went and smoked some of my last crop with him.. I took the fridge,
I started by removing everything from the fridge the compressor, all of the copper tubing and that radiator off the back, the interior lights, removing the freezer fan cover, but leaving the fan. When i was all done doing this i started cutting an opening from the freezer to the fridge with the saws-all and then what I did to separate the two from the heat of the 400 watt HPS was I took one of the shelves that just happened to be glass, and I stripped off the rack bars and fit it into the bottom of the freezer I was not worried about totally sealing the glass because my next step was taking a really powerful fan that I bought at walmart last year, that I have been using for the past few grows I cut a hole into the bottom of the fridge and placed the fan into the void. I sealed the area around the fan on the inside of the fridge to ensure a solid seal from the bottom intake fan was formed.., for the exhaust fan I just used the old freezer fan that was still functional.
I took out the radiator behind the fan to give me more of an air trap. I turned the fan around so it was blowing air towards the back of the freezer and re secured it to the same placement it was originally, minus the reverse fan placement. I simply drilled two, 2" holes at the back where the fan was blowing the hot air into the air trap, so that it could exhaust.
So far everything is going great, temperatures are 79 constant !!

We shall see an update on how everything is going in the next few days. in the meantime check out my signature for my previous grows !!

now thats what i call, being inventive. i never thought of that, but gave me an idea( oops look out i'm thinkin ) lol lol lol lol lol . that looks great, im thinkin of urin,my back room, at least half of it and other half for a smoke room. of course the grow room will be completely sealed. this is my first time hydro, so im going slow till i have everything. i do have a Sunmaster 600 watt M/H bulb and also a Agromax 600 M/H bulb, plus a Agromax 600 watt HPS, a few exchast fans . 1 floor fan onw ceilin fan and one stand fan. building clos to the window so if during the summer i could put a A/C unit in there to control the weather. during the winter, it stay about 65 to 72,73 degrees.i do have a few 5 gal buckets, that im thinkin of using as Bubleponics and DWC. but also soil, to see if i can see a difference, using fox farm for nutrients. i already have a cabinet that i think i'll use as a cloning area. r U doing soil, or hydro. cause U said U r using advance nutrients and i thought they were for hydro only, please excuse me, but im new at this, thats why im im asking these crazy question. aklso have u ever tryed to copy the chart, cause it has come out very light printing.

I grow in sunshine mix #4 soilless mixture.
Advanced Nutrients is for a variance of applications: soil, hydro, soilless, ect.
I think that you should do alright considering that you are ahead of the game already by having the right equipment.
You are definately on the right track.
