Welcome aboard solou1, and good luck growing. You will find with bag seed, Mexican espscially they will crystal up at different stages of flowering. I have had a couple that just exploded after two or three weeks into flower and some that took as long as seven to eight weeks. It's the nature of genetics with Mexican bag seed from what I can tell. I have grown bag seed in different styles, DWC, soil, compost and now hempy modified (straight perlite) by far this hempy grow will be the best production I have had. I have also grown it under different lighting from CFL's, LED and now 400 watt HPS, by far the more light intencity from the 400 has also helped with production. Commercial nutes are all about the same as I can tell as I have gone organic as of late with the current grow I have. Though with the hempy grow I have utilized the "Lucas Formula" to grow with as it is a hydro grow and have GH flora series nutes and suppliments.

wow thats amazing what you can produce with just perlite as a medium i might have to try a hempy grow soon as a side project, when i turned on the lights today i noticed more trichomes starting to form on the leafs coming out the nugs and i noticed a little burn cause i triedto mix in some of my advanced nutrients from my kandy kush grow back in 2010 so i just set them aside and wont be using them anymore not sure about shelf life but dont wanna risk anything else this far in,and i was thinking of switching to blue planet nutrients ill be growing in soil i dont wanna waste 200 bucks on nutrients like i did on AN.thx for responding happing growing PTX

Sorry to hear you got the burn thing, I think every grower has done it a time or two. I have found that no matter which brand of nutes you are using always stay below the directed full strenth dosage. As long as your nutes are sealed and kept in a dark cool location shelf life shouldn't have to much effect. My GH flora's are over a year old and I'm using them like I just bought them, but I have never fed them at full strength. I guess the whole reason for going organic is be cause of the cost of nutes and chemicals, when this grow is done my plan is to calculate the total cost to grow and compare it to past grows. I can tell you now though that it is about 1/3 of what I spent before as my only real cost has been electricity for this grow.

I spent 3 weeks in Holland in the mid-90's and did nothing but smoke Orange Bud and play basketball. What a trip.

well today when i looked at the plants they all seem to be doing very well considering the little nute burn on the tips of leafs the buds have swelled drastically since ive turn the lights off and when you walk in to turn the light on the whole room smells like dank, the way the buds smell are super danky and fruity it honestly doesnt smell anything like the schwag we get here in texas ive had some pretty good shwag but this stuff smells amazing i will be posting pics up soon, and i think after this grow i will giveblue planet nutrients a try since its not really expensive like $75 for the 7 step thingy, and for my next grow i really want a big yielding, potent grow i know of white widow being one and anything critical, but do you have any suggestions on strains that ll put on alot of weight under a 600 or a 400?thx tx

Well as far as a high yeilding strain I really have no clue which ones would be better than anyother. I do know you will get better production under the 600 than the 400 but it also has to do with growing style sometimes. Best I can tell you is pick the strain you want or like the best choose a proven style of growing that lends itself to a bigger yeild and go with the largest container you can deal with and your choice of grow media. I've done most styles of growing though this is the first time I have tried a Scrog, it is time consuming but so far I have seen pretty good results come from them.

Thanks everyone, I'm just tryin to do the best I can with what I have. The mainlining is just from following what someone else has perfected for a growing style and I'm trying to emulate it the best I can. The "Hempy Project" was my experiment to see what one could do with this style of growing. Little did I know I was going get something this good in return. I can honestly say the "Lucas Formula" works for feeding hydro, it is possible to exceed your imaginations with little effort.
