Hey Guys, I'm just laying out a check list for everything I got for my first grow. I've spent a 1+ year saving money to get a good quality of supplies. I rather have something and don't need, than need it and not have it. So if anyone has any input on anything that I need, feel free to post a comment.
Here I go....

**ILGM strawberry kush, purple haze and white widow strain.**
3x3 DS90 tent
400 watt HID light w/ bat wing reflector hood
**I'm doing passive intake but I also need to control the odor during the flowering stage**
4 inch inline fan 105 CFM (I bought this originally for a smaller closet grow room) + 4 inch ducting
4 inch booster fan 190 CFM w/ homemade activated carbon pellet filter
8 inch oscillating fan (for constant air movement)
Small desk fan with clamp (attaching this to the reflector hood to additionally cool the MH/HPS light bulb)
5lb CO2 tank w/ regulator + Titan control laser cut tubing. (I can exchange or refill tank as needed)

Red Mylar Film (to increase the red spectrum in my tent)
I KNOW THE CONTROVERSY OF OPINIONS ON RED MYLAR BUT IDC. I BOUGHT IT TO TRY IT. So the individuals who haven't used it but feel to comment on how it doesn't work; PLEASE KEEP OPINIONS TO YOURSELF.
Fox Farm Happy Frog & Ocean Forest soil. (plan on mixing a 50/50 ratio)
Miracle grow perlite (for soil drainage) and Miracle grow peat moss (instead of coco pellets)
Jiffy Germination dome w/ peat pellets & Jiffy peat pots w/ plastic holders
(4) 5 gal smart pots & (5) 1/2 gal plastic containers
Nutrient & pH soil tester
pH liquid meter & TDS meter (PPM/EC meter)
GreenScapes water check soil meter (help me prevent the over watering of plants)

Botanicare nutrients -Pure Blend Pro Grow & Bloom (Soil version), Cal-Mag Plus, Silica blast, Sweet Berry, Liquid Karma (also using as foliar spray), Hydroplex (bloom booster), and Clearex (pre-harvest flush).
General Hydroponics Rapid Start (root zone enhancer)
DS90 3X3 trellis netting (For SCROG)
Tomato cages (optional & alternative method of support instead of bamboo stakes & trellis netting)
Pruning & bud trimming shears.
Plant twist tie (To tie branches down horizontally to the trellis netting)

Things I need to get: Boveda humidity packets 62%, Mason jars, kitchen scale, and CLF or LED lights for underneath my SCROG canopy (starting these lights 15 mins earlier underneath the canopy helps boost the plants metabolism.)

Sounds like you've got everything set. Is that reflector an open hood? I run the same Wat in 3.3x3.3.

Open hood makes things alot easier in small, but tall, spaces imo.

Goodluck dude.

Sounds great man, good luck on that grow. You have everything you should need and more, maybe some stuff you wont need. But like you said its probably better you have and not need then the other way around.

What brand HiD setup are you getting. Also just wondering why are you going with a 400w, and not a 600 or 1000w? Thats why im asking the brand your getting because some of the cheaper brands you can get a 1000w for $250 or so.

I got an Apollo brand 400 watt HID lights. For my 3x3 tent a 400 watt is perfect. A 600 watt would run to hot.

Gotcha i just purchased a 1000w apollo, im afraid of it running hot too, my CFLs had a problem of running at almost 90F, i corrected it and it runs at 84 max now. But im going to have another problem with that 1000w arrives.

How big is your grow space? Just wondering if heat will be an issue for you. I was surprised the first time I ran a 400 how hard heat was to control in the closet I was in.

Also while I have never tried it, from my understanding Co2 supplementation is redundant unless your in a sealed environment. Although may be super beneficial to have for your next grow

My tent is a 3x3x6. So 9 sq. Ft. & 54 cubic feet. A 400 watt gives me enough light intensity for that space. I'm going to do a trial run with the 400 watt HID lights, exhaust fan, a hydro-thermometer and a dehumidifier. Just to see how hot and humid its going to run before I start growing. And my tent is pretty sealable for CO2 supplementation. I might just have to duck-tape the holes. I plan on running the CO2 during vegetation and flowering stages. Due to timing I can only veg for 1 month, flowering for 3 months of course. So for the vegetation stage the CO2 run for 15 mins, 3x a week. For the flowering stage ill run it for 30 mins, 4x a week. I got a 5lb CO2 tank so I'm running it sparingly & frequently. The level on my regulator will be no higher than 5.

No i dont, the problem is that i have no where to exhaust the air out too.. Its in a closet, so i can just open the closet door, doesnt make sense hooking the exhaust out of the closet. I do however have an attic above the closet. I could drill a hole into the ceiling and have it exhaust in the attic. Do you think thats worth it? What do you suggest, what would you do?

Oh no, my dehumidifier is a rechargeable one that you hang up. Used to be hung mainly in closets. Once it stops working, I just plug it in an outlet. The ample space for this dehumidifier to work in 300 sq. Ft.

I'm not much of a handy man. But venting into the attic can cause a heat spot that law enforcement could see with a thermal camera. That's a safety concern. I would just open the closet door and get as much airflow as I can into that closet. If the heat is an issue I would exhaust into the main house and turn the lights at night time when temps are cooler.

Sounds cool, you got a unique piece sounds like ,my 30 pint/day dehumidifier produces a ton of heat and draws about 300watts (3.3 amps).

Why are you starting this argument when you're on your first grow...? Do you even know who you're arguing with?
https://www.rollitup.org/t/flushing-am-i-doing-it-right.878338/page-2

It's always the noobs that claim "AN is better then all other nutrients."
"Oh yeah, what else have you tried?"
"Lololol firstgrowbro."
"And who told you AN was better then, say, GH?"
"The guy at the store who sold it to me for 170 says it'll make me yield a lb a plant. Especially overdrive, he said it's high in salt and sugar and snake oil."
