Lookin good man....watch those saggy buds are going to be fire

I haven't posted much as I have had a busy week. The sagging on the big girl is still slowly getting worse. The plant has been flowering for 60 days now so it shouldn't be long until it's ready. Some of the buds on her are getting HEAVY. Maybe the sagging is only partly from lack of root space and also partly from the weight of the buds. I'm loving that concept. She is in her dark period now, I'll post pics of her later on.

I harvested the older plant 2 1/2 days ago. I'll post the weight once it dries. Because of it's rough youth and lack of branches/bud sites, I was only expecting an ounce, at the most, from this plant. It's buds are also heavy and from just looking at it all, I can say that it weighs at least an ounce, maybe more. These pics are all of the main cola. This bud alone weighed 74g wet. I put a lighter in the pics for scale.-P

Nice harvested bud!...also you can tie those buds up by tying a little string around the whole plant...around all the branches just tight enough to keep em all up.....like a belt

Interesting idea, but do the buds in the middle dry out at the same speed as the buds on the outside? What I do is cut the main stem right above and below each grow shoot, leaving a little 'hook' built in for each one. Then I hang the large buds on the end of the line and the smaller ones in the middle.

The total from the first Green Bud plant is 42 grams. That's more than the ounce I was hoping for, so I'm very happy about that. I harvested it after 71 days of 12/12, and it probably could have gone longer. The quality of the high is very full and satisfying, but it doesn't totally blow me away as I was hoping it might. Maybe if I let it go longer.........

There is one thing I must say about it, but first I want to say that I'm not a big 'taste of the herb' kind of guy. Oh sure, I love great tasting mj and I do not want to even get close to headache weed, but that's as far as it goes. As long as it's not crap weed, it's all pretty much the same to me. I'm more interested in the quality of the high. Having made that point clear, I want to say that this Green Bud tastes FUCKING EXCELLENT! Since I'm not a 'taste of the herb' guy I can't really describe it. It's just a very classic mj taste. I may have only been growing for a couple of years, but I've been smoking for about 28 years and this stuff is possibly the best I can recall. And that is without a cure, so I expect it to only get better.

As far as my remaining plant goes, before all the sagging began I was planning on letting it go 11 or 12 weeks. Since the sagging is still slowly getting worse, I started flushing 6 days ago and I plan to chop it down 2 days from now. On the positive side, I noticed right after I chopped her sister that the big plant was looking further along than the one I chopped, and now she is definately much further. Today is day 66 for her, so it looks like she will get 68 total. For this plant I will definately post harvest pics, weights, etc. It's been a fun/educational/crazy/rewarding ride.

Dude you have some pretty big buds going yourself. They looks pretty fucking good to me man. Wish it could go the whole way through but i can understand cuttin. i had a saggy one too and it sucks.

Thank you very much for the comments, guys. Well, day 68 came, and I just couldn't bring myself to chop it because I noticed some new pistols on some of the buds. What I ended up doing was cutting some of the buds that did not seem to have new pistols and were on shoots that were sagging and not yet supported by hangers. I don't want to add any more hangers, as I already have about 7 of them in there. She has not had anything but water in some time now, but she continues on. Today is day 73.

After I made my last post in this thread I put a couple of those pics of my plant in the ever popular thread "want to know if your plants are finished?" I see that fdd2blk says my girl has about a week to 10 days to go. I will go with Mr. Moderator's advice and try to baby her thru another week, and then see what she looks like. She still hasn't had anything but water in several weeks, but appears to be doing better than I would have expected regarding that.

As I've already mentioned in this thread, CH9 claims that this strain flowers in 8 weeks. I went into this thinking 9 to 10 weeks, maybe 11. It looks like it's going to be closer to 12 weeks.

glad to see you kept her going, i have about a week left on the big bud and 2 weeks on the mazar. Your girl is looking amazing.

Thank you, both. Except for the sagging, I don't think this plant gave me any big problems at all. Now that it's so close, I can see that it's not any 3 1/2 ounces or anything. I also cut some of it off where they were sagging so much (more than just what I showed a pic of). I'm still going to guess (or hope) for about 2 1/2 ounces, or so, from it.-P

Today is day 80. A lot of the buds look like they are finally ready, but the top cola still has a bit more to go (seems backwards to me). Most of it is coming down today or tomorrow.

Thanks, Normajean1. The top cola, especially, is def packing on more weight. Today is day 84 and I just now got finished with harvesting "most" of her. I cut off all the large buds on the end of all of the shoots. I left the top and everything smaller. The only support hanger left is the one that keeps the top up. What I cut today weighs 141g, wet, of course. What I cut before today was 42g wet, 10 dry.

There is just too many new white pistols on the top cola to chop it, so "hello week 13".

Thankyou guys. Even in this past week, the cola has seemed to expand just like the incredible hulk. lol May be Miss incredible hulk. It's after midnight where I live, so technically I can say that she's coming down later today. There are still a lot of white pistols on the top, but it finally looks done. There are amber patches all over it, and you cannot find a clear trich if yoy look all day (I have). She just entered her dark period for one last time. Shortly after it's time for 'lights on', about 9 1/2 hours from now, she's getting the chop. I'll post some final pics of her then, before I do it. It will be day 90 of flower. I thought I'd never get here.

I ended up getting 34g from what I cut last week. I cut another 10 the week before. I also cut off some buds during the previous 3 or 4 weeks, when the sagging began. I didn't weigh or keep track of that because I thought it was not much, but it added up as the sagging got worse. I'm sure you can tell that in the pics. I would guess it was somewhere around 15 grams, dry. Since I didn't weigh it, I'll just count it as a +. So even though I know I got more than 1 1/2 oz from her, offically, so far I've harvested 44g+. I can't wai to see how much better that total looks with the rest added.

Earlier today I was trying out some of what I cut last week. As I was sitting there, pulling some bong hits, I realized that I wanted to go to the store soon, and I did not want to be stoned to the bone when I went. I put the bong down and waited 2 1/2 hours before I trekked out to the store. When I got there I realized that I was still completely bombed. It wasn't any big deal, but it caught me totally off guard. I like this stuff.

Have you looked into the idea of leaving her in the dark for 24 or even 48 hours before the chop? I've read much to suggest a noteworthy increase in potency with this method.
