I have 12 rapid rooters soaking in a 1/4 tsp Flora Bloom (bloom nutes are recommended for medium soaks) / half gallon mix of store bought distilled water.

I'm going to soak them a few more hours and then take some new cuttings. 3 from each strain and this time, they will be labeled.

Some pics of my cloning.

I used listerine + water in the 2litre for sterilization. I labeled my cuttings with straws. My rapid rooters were soaked for about 2 hours in a small distilled water/flora bloom soak. I used shultz rooting powder ( a healthy amount ) and used scarification on the bases of my clones. On 2 of them I cut the bottom stem up the middle vertically. Another process to increase root production, tho both methods slow down initial growth.
I took 2 Silver Haze clones, 3 Strawberry Cough, and 4 Thai x Skunk clones. I also took 3 AK clones, 2 in rapid rooters and 1 in the bubbler to fill it.

Also shown is a pic of how I keep my res warm in the bubble cloner. And I didn't take a pic of it but I have my rapid rooter clones in a similar tray my bubbler is in. That is in turn placed in an 18 gallon rubbermaid and insulated in towels. I have 2 26w cfls in there and the lid is closed so there is about 2 inches from the humidity dome and the top of the rubbermaid. I then have the rubbermaid sitting on top of the ballast for my mh light. It gives off some heat, not alot, but enough to warm the bottom up and do the job of a seedling mat that I don't have.

And one more pic of my closet with the baffles in place for another member to check out. One of my girls in there is looking a lil wilted and I'll probably flush her tomorrow.

I'll take pics of it tomorrow if it works out. I have a thermometer in there and will be checking the humidity/temp every few hours here.

Thanks, Im glad you like it.

The little plant that just got transplated is very stressed. She took so long to get roots that her foliage really got sucked up. I do not have a foliar spray but I sprayed a 1/4 Miracle Grow mist over her, and top soiled with some worm castings and then watered that enough to soak it in. So I've fed the leaves and the roots some N, and hopefully that's what she wants. I'll keep misting her with distilled water and we'll see how she does.
But to be on the safe side I think I'm gonna order some superthrive. It's cheap and is exactly the kind of product I'd like to have right now to help with the shock. I predict similar problems for my other slow rooting clones.

2oz for 8$, exactly what I can afford. Good enough.

Ok so I decided I'm going to get one of those rooter trays at the hydro store today along with that other bottle of GH FloraBloom. It was only 3.56$. I think i'd be stupid not to buy it, even if I don't ever use it. Maybe someone will need it someday.

I got my 50 2" net pots in the mail today. They only cost me 7.99$ shipped, from ebay. I will be using those to build an aero cloner and stockpiling the rest for a home-made aero/nft system similar to Stinkbuds.

My ballast and light might be here tomorrow. Keepin' my fingers crossed.

Ok so I got lazy and never made it to the shop.
But my ballast came in the mail today. Bonus. And I guess I wasn't to lazy because I cracked out my reflector and cool-tube combo in about an hour also.

My other clones are looking good and the ambient temp is around 80, 90% humidity. They're sitting in net pots now, and the pots are sitting in 1/4 inch of distilled water.

I took some pictures but for some reason my camera was ruining every shot. I'll post a few anyways.
My ballast. My dying clone, tho I noticed that some of the yellow at the very middle is gone today, replaced by bright green. Meaning she's probably gonna kick around. And horrible pictures on my light construction. It was very easy, only power tool I used was a drill and I didn't use a vice.

Light first.

Clone.

Thanks man. Its not 100% done, but close. I'm gonna get some spray adhesive and cover it in mylar. I'm gonna fix the bends so they're perfect, and get the ballast cord. And that's all that's left.

This thing cost me around 40$ to make excluding the bulb and the ballast.

I took the idea from Tick's cab design on IcMag, which was an old OG forum salvage. I did some reading about the "A-Wing" type reflectors and they seem to offer the best versatility of dispersion.

If you look at this picture you can see he has different bends in the reflectors making each bend the light accordingly.

This is a nice shot of Tics cab. He does not use the cool-tube, instead he has a fan directly on his bulb blowing towards an exhaust. Same reflector and use of baffles.

Thanks. I think I'll do a little write-up on how to make this. It cost me less than 40$ and shouldn't cost someone else more than 50$. And it was easy for soemone with little or no tools.

Transplanted another clone day before yesterday and also yesterday.

The first was a clone from my first batch. So 2/3 of those are transplanted and the new one looks good today.

And yesterday I transplated what I think was the Sensai Star that I was given. None of the others have roots yet. I also moved the remaining "first" clone into a rapid rooter and put it in my garden. It doesn't have roots and I don't think they will be coming.

I attached the ballast cable to my light yesterday also. If the bulb comes today, I'll be switching to 12/12 on Saturday. My clones in the rapid rooters are looking good, and I have good expectations for those.

My yeast produced co2 mix is working good. I have 2 gallons of them just starting to release nice bubbles I'm going to add 2 more very soon.

Right now 3 clones are in new pots. The ones I took will be getting flowered with the rest of the group and the Sensai will be getting vegged out for a month or so.

So of the 2 clones I took that rooted, 1 looks very good after just 1 day. It has 3 small sets of new leaves already. The other, the one that was transplated first, is looking better but not putting on new growth yet. It's mostly repairing the growth that was repairable. Alot of it's leaves were just out of energy and yellowed really fast. I didn't put it in the journal here but I tryed taking it into dirt once and it looked really bad just 12 hours later, so I tossed it back in the cloner for a day and it looked a little better, and then I came to my senses and realized if the foliage was to dead to survive in roots, it certainly didn't need to go back in the cloner. It just needed the proper care.

So even tho it was basically just a bunch of crispy leaves (and I removed alot of them) it is starting to green up now and I'm sure it will survive its just gonna be slow.

My batch of clones in the Rapid Rooters look great. I've been keeping ambient temp at around 80-85 and I spray them 2x a day, add a small amount of distilled water to the tray, and spray my dome down about 6x a day.
I keep the moisture on my rooters low, just damp enough but no dripping or sogginess. I took one of the silve haze cuttings that looked wimpy and tossed it in the bubbler. The other 10 look healthy.
