I've been out of pot for a month now and it seems that it's dry dry dry around here. I got so desperate that I dug out the clippings from my grow last winter. I forgot that i had chopped down several plants last year intending to move out of state. I found them in the paperbag with the clippings. I thought what the hell and pulled them out to look at them. I think i chopped them at 6 or 7 weeks and thought there was no way they would be worth a shit. I picked off a few buds, crispy as hell and smelled like lemon so i knew it was the skunk I had called plant B in my old thread. I broke up some buds and packed a bong. It has been 2 and a half hours and I still am wide awake. I can't wait for this harvest.

The plant that had the most trichs on it 2 and a half weeks in I took cuttings off of tonight. I have not been having any luck with the other clones as most all have died. I let the water go to long in the res and got slime on the stems. The water is cold and I think someone wrote a while back in the thread that they keep their water temp up and root very quickly. I don't know, I've actually had a spurt in business and haven't been that vigilant either...

The plant's are in their 17th day of flower and I probably waited to long for the cuttings but they were from the bottem and with almost all the other ones dead I thought what the hell.....

I also picked up another flo light fixture with kitchen and bath spectrum (3000K) but they put out 3400 lumes instead of 1900. The males are busting with pollen and I will make one or two more harvest on them and get rid of them...

I will water and feed in the morning. I will also rotate the boxes. I take the one that is farthest away and the plant that sits in the middle of the light gets rotated to the place of the box nearest me and that plant is now the farthest from the light. This way all the plants get some streatching from being furthest and also get the best light when it's their time to sit directly under the light. It also allows the lights to hit the plants from different angles.....

Alright, I guess I'll try to go to sleep now. i wish I had a kick ass Indinca to put me to sleep.....

Hey!

I seen ya in Mr. Wests thread. Didn't you say you tried pollinating a lady and had some pics up? Was gonna see how that went for you.

How do you have those CFL Shoplights set up? Or are those t5 or something? It looks like they are layind down flat pointing updwards to illuminate the lower buds. If my eyes dont decieve me, very good idea? I am guessing you have HPS or something to that extent above the plants too? NVM, I think I seen a HPS light in your 2nd pic

Ill go back and read your journal so you don't have to explain it all again. Looking good though. Keep on growing!

That's exactly what I'm doing. The flos light waves don't travel as far as the HPS and they are cool to the touch. in fact the plants have been laying on them since I put them in a few days ago without any harm to the leaves. I started pulling the big fan leaves that were at the bottem. As the shoot grows and makes it's own sets of leaves the large leaves at that node die off. I wait til they have wilted and turn yellow so the plant can get all it can from it before I pluck it.

I actually have 2-400w HPS above the plants. The flos put out enough light to the lower nodes and reflect through the plants due to the mylar all around the room. So their light isn't just going to the bottem sides of the leaves.

I belive I said I was collecting pollen from the males I have to prepare for pollinating the females with the best traits. The lights are off now but I will get a pic of the trics on one of the sativa plants from my B batch of seeds. At less than 3 weeks it looks sugary already.....

Welcome to the show my friend.....

Nice man +Rep! Yeah thats a pretty good idea. All the bottom nodes are set, they are getting light, and the HPS covers the tops. I have mine growing in a cab I made. I have a HPS light, and a 6inch CFL shoplight for side lighting. Its standing straight up. But you gave me the idea to get another one and lay it under them. My grow is small, Right now I have 3 females, and one that has not showed sex. 2 males were killed. So in the end, if I have 4 plants, all I would need is another CFL and lay it under like you did. Great idea!

Nice man, that sounds pretty sweet. It will be intrested to see the grow finish.

Not a problem. In between my journal I always like to check out other peoples grow. Usually ends up people that I see posting in a friends journal or whatnot. But yeah man, the grow looks good. Looks like your working with decent space, I wish I had that much space. Its going to be nice to see them in flower.

Off to get stoned then do some work. later man

Here is the pic of the plant that was showing all the tric's starting at 2 weeks, this pic is 2 weeks 4 days. It's a little hard to see because of the HPS lighting so I took a pic of the lower buds instead of the tops. All the little leaves in the bud are already covered with tric's. It looks like its covered in sugar. Sorry if it's a little hard to see I don't have the best camera in the world.....

Open it, zoom it, and crop it down to the right size. This is what I do to get super close-ups.

I'm about to post a crap ton of pictures in my thread.

:weed:

Looking good!

Update. I gave up on the clones. It's been 3 weeks and only 5 rooted. I'm throwing the fucking things away and will start selecting which ones I want to seed with the pollen I gathered. I think I didn't pay enough attention to the res changes. The last one was almost 12 days and everything was all slimy.

The trics are showing on more and more plants. I have one plant that at every node it has 3 leaves thus 3 bud sites. It also has a bunch of trics already so i will breed this one and see if I can replicate the 3 nodes in another generation.

I took some pics of the supercropped plants where I pinched them. So far there is no difference in bud formation above the pinch. Which disproves a post I read on it saying it did. However I did pinch and bend one Genefranco style and it is definately turning the lower nodes into tops. Lesson learned, if your going to pinch you better bend....

I gathered all the pollen I need from the 2 males and now it's time for them to die. The third one that was showing male is now throwing out pistols. This is good as the pods from it should provide fem pollen for the plants I pollenate with it.....

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more updates.....bongsmilie
