5 weeks from flip and only pistils

5 weeks from flip and I only have pistols and no buds. Growing bag seed in Soil with two 1000 watt leds.

Maybe I’m just being impatient but does anyone have a clue if I’m close to seeing buds or maybe it has a longer flowering period? For two weeks there have been nothing but pistils and no bud. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm not wearing my glasses and I can see buds in those picturesbongsmilie

You look like you have a sativa or a sativa dominant strain meaning it will probably go 9 + weeks till harvest. You have 4 to 5 weeks to go i'd say and they will really begin to swell within the next 2 weeks.

Really? I’m a first time grower and I know I sound stupid but when I look at them up close I can see where the pistols come from (the calix I think?) and there are a ton of pistols and that’s it. I thought the pistols got smaller and the buds were suppose to get bigger. It’s just I’ve had pistols for a few weeks and haven’t seen anything that looked remotely smokeable.

the pistols grow out of the bud sites. they will get bigger over the next few weeks as long as they getting proper nutes

A bud is a cluster of individual flowers. Each calyx with its two hairs is a single flower. When the plant is getting closer to around 3/4 of the way through flowering the buds will start to look more like you'd expect.

There's a certain point where the buds start to get that more filled out, closer to ripe look to them and another point where they actually are closer to ripe where the individual calyxes start to swell and they really are nearly done. The timing of it depends on the strain. There are some that fill out so fast that you'll have fairly solid and dense clusters before they're even halfway done and some that look like premature flarf right up until the last week or two.

Agree with this. Just got my first order from them. They had a lot variety, relatively cheap prices and they had fast shipping. Took 6 days for them to get to me. Im across the US from them, so you might get it quicker (assuming you live in the US). Ill definitely be ordering from them again.

As others have said, you're doing good. Those are buds! Im at week 4 in flower and my plant is looking pretty much like yours. Nice job! Keep it up!

Don’t know where you see bananas but there are none. I had one plant hermie and I plucked about 8 of the little seeds that popped up and they quit growing. That was only one plant. No clusters, seeds, or balls in the rest of them.

Sometimes it's hard to tell from photo's. You have a better view than I do. But it looks like it in those photo's. If not then that's good.

Looks sativa heavy strain and they can take longer. Hard to tell under the led but look dark green. Heavy N will slow flower some.
