As the title says I'm about five weeks away from harvesting. My last grow I sat aside an ounce worth of fresh nug, froze it, then ground it up and blasted it to make the tastiest most floral wax I have ever smoked. I'm growing the same strain this time around and am on planning on using a qp of the next harvest for just blasting some tasty wax. The problem I had however was that I only yielded 5% of the dry weight (about 25% of wet weight) and wanted to find out how to increase yield from fresh material before blasting nearly half of my harvest.

5 weeks out from harvest meaning about a month onto flower ?

I wouldn't expect to yield more than %10 from extremely premature flowers . Almost a a no brainer , but most strains need that extra month to fill in, trichs get bigger as well. Yields go up.

id cut around the two weeks till harvest time for optimum everything.

5% from a good final harvest , means throw out the strain, unless you reallyyyyy. Really love its high..:)

You can let it dry out a little for a more realistic number, still produces good flavor and will be able to fit more in the processor.

I mostly do after then stem snap while hang drying. I don't know if that's still considered "live resin" though..
