Nice strain, get yourself a really strong magnifying glass (called a scope) and look into the trichromes, if you harvest with cloudy trichromes (when all the heads are cloudy just after being clear) then you will get an energy body high, if you wait a day or so until the majority of the trichromes turn an amber color youll get that stoned couchlock high really prominent in the head, so most people go when its 50% clear/cloudy trichromes and 50% amber ones, but its preference, I would say another day or few check the chart below thats the best way to know when to harvest

i don't judge by trichs anymore, most ppl look at leaves trichs which they afterward cut and manicure, i want it to pump up to its full potential.

every little kid knows to look at the trichs, but it is too general judging for me when looking at harvesting cannabis. no disrespect ofcourse, and thanks for the comments as well.

i was looking for something more of like.. "plants at this stage takes 3-4 (or however) days to finish for me"
or "i would cut it in a few days"
i gave a good close up look at the calyxs as well. they swell in matter of hours, i think im a few days from harvest.

anyone else?

man like i said its preference i would cut half of it tomorow and another half the next day and get 2 different batches, everyone will give you different answers the potency has a 24 hour peak, but more generally theres a 3 day peak harvest window i think you'd be at day 0 or day 1, so i would wait 2 days, dont water it and keep it in darkness if you can for the last 24 hours itll increase potency

Another way to tell if it is ripe is to look at the hair and when its ripe they will have started to resend into the caylexs and you will stop seeing the white pistols as they mean the buds are still growing (still a good amount of whie hairs on yours) also your fan leaves will be yelling and falling off (which your plants has stared to do) also the overall color of your buds and bud leaves will be darker with a hint of brown. Id chop in 7-10 days or longer if it were mine. Good Luck!

here, if you want some CORRECT information on how to check if your plants are ready, please.. ALL NOOBIES, read this article. We experienced growers don't mind helping you noobs out.. but, however.. it gets really tiring when you guys keep asking the same questions over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Again, we don't mind helping.. but please, when people post what I'm about to post... put it to use!! That's all I'm saying. For anyone that takes what I have said in this post offensive.. well, I'm sorry.. but its the way it is.

Here's the article:

Tired of not knowing for sure, if your plant(s) are truly ripe and ready for harvesting? Read this article.. it contains correct information on how to check to see if your plant or
plants are indeed ripe and ready for harvesting.

Is it ready yet?: This is by no means meant to be the definitive guide to knowing when to chop your plant, only my views on the subject.

Its my personal opinoin that 90% of the growers on this site (And probably in general) harvest too early. By letting the plants go a little longer you're ensuring that the've plumped as much as they're going to.

Despite popular opinion to the contrary(and don't fool yourself, the jury is still out on this one) Recent studies have shown ;contrary to what was previously believed, that THC itself (And its predecessor THC-A) are quite guilty of causing the confusion and drowsiness associated with burnout and other cannabinoids (our friend CBN, and a handful of others) to be the catalyst (along with THC) to being 'high' rather than 'baked'

Regardless, whether or not theres any substance to the aforementioned study, its easy to get the high you want.

If you want a soaring 'cerebral' high: Get yourself a tropical sativa that contains a high level of THC-V and grow it until it is ripe.

If you want the narcotic couchlock stone, grow a rugged indica until its ripe.
Notice a pattern of growing it until its ripe? Its a really good rule to live by.

OF course we have to remember that there is more to a good high than just THC. At last count there are at least 66 cannabinoids, and we don't know what most of them do.

Now alot of people will tell you that you should harvest based on the colour of your trichomes. But (again, in my opinion) that is far too simplistic and there are too many variables to make that an effective strategy. I've made that point a million times before and i'm not going to re-hash it here,(maybe just a bit) but rest assured there is more to the picture than just trich colour.

A ripe marijuana plant will be filled in, will have an amber tinge to the buds. The pistils should have browned (or orange-d) off and receded into the buds. The seed bracts should be swollen and the trichomes should be sticking straight out with bulbous ends. Also, because you're coming close to the end of plant's life cycle, the leaves should have yellowed off and started to die.

Another very important (imho) reason to let your plants mature is Terpenoid production. Terpenes are responsible for alot of the complex (And enjoyable) flavours that cannabis produces. Some of the most intense flavours are produced on the "downslope" of cannabis's life cycle. My personal experience with this first came when i was growing GH cheese. One of the plants i harvested at 8 weeks and it tasted pretty nice and had pretty dense buds. The other i grew until about 9 1/2 weeks and it had most amazing, sour, skunky, delicious taste with rock hard buds.

If I could offer one piece of advice on picking the right time to harvest, it's all about watching the pistils. Not so much the colour, but the movement. They should have receded into the bud and the seed bracts should be swollen.

Follow this information correctly.. and you won't be disappointed. I know there are alot of incorrect articles going around. Hell, IMO, there is WAY TOO MUCH incorrect information floating around out there on the interweb.. and its hard to find correct information. However, this article.. is from my personal experience.. 5 years worth of growing.. and I just shared with the people that read this, how I personally check my plants to see if they are ready for harvesting. Again, keep this article somewhere safe where you can come back for future references. Lastly, once again.. follow this information, and you WILL NOT harvest your plant early.. but you have to MAKE sure you remember these important things in order to have a full ripe harvest.

Thanks for your time and thanks for reading.

hmm, i actually read that post 2 weeks ago, i do my study.

i hope i didn't get "the experienced" ones upset.
just asked for an estimation based on how the plant looks.

this nice dude 2 or 3 posts above me was kind enough to say it's basically up to you but he would harvest in 7-10 days.
instead of talking bad at "noobs" as you call us, you should be more patient and willing to share information, this is how you should see your part in liberating the world from its lame ass leaders.

spread the green dude. it's all good.

Cut it right now.

That's what you were wanting to hear right? Like women, sometimes you just gotta say what you know they wanna hear. ;-)

They look good, but I would think you have at least a week, maybe two.
The white pistels will start to turn red/brown, shrink back in to the bud, and start to swell up.

Good luck

Sorry buddy, but cmon! You don't pay attention to trichs anymore? Any little kid knows to look at trichs but "no direspect"? So you trust us folk to take a gander at images that would be much more accurate than a 40x loop through your own eye? Is it your eyes or your brain that is faulty I am just curious

chill dude, man im not starting any fights but the whole reason for the forum is to make posts and create a social network for marijuana growing and co and if anyone has a plant they should post a thread asking for tips or help from people more experianced. If you dont care for the thread then dont post but theres lots of people willing to help dude, but i agree with you dude you should grow a plant till the fruits are ripe, you dont pick an orange 2 weeks early to eat it, you want it ripe, i guess or im sure it works the same way with ganga.

uberstuber, get over yourself, it's not my fault you're an ugly person. shove them trichs up your ass, and stop smoking weed, it is too good of an herb for you to smoke.

rathacker, yeah man, that's the best example you could give in that situation. this article cannaguru has posted is very interesting, i read it before i opened this thread. every word of it is true. every single person that grows needs to read it.

peace dudes, take it all easy.

I would say two or three more weeks until harvest day. This is a serious guess as to when you should expect to be done.
